Could be another Liam Jones type story. I’d hate to let him go without giving him a go as a defender.

After all the trades and drafts are finished we turn our amazed attention to talking about which of our players have added 10 kgs, 10 cms or 3 yards of pace and then spend the next few months predicting how good we will be next year, who will be AA and how sh*t Essendon will be.

Then, when the season starts we follow each game with what we call an autopsy thread (whether we win or lose). When we lose we get posters who we haven't seen for 50 years come on and tell us how sh*t we are, how sh*t our game plan is and that it's still the same old effing Carlton. This can tend to get a tad feral at times.

Then after about 4 losses we all start to go on like that and turn our attention to the next trade week.

Then it's just rinse and repeat.

That's the short summary, sometimes it's fun.
Thank you. I love the 'how shit Essendon will be' - even takes me back to my Fitzroy days and this piece of magic - a dagger in the heart of Bombers - although I do concede that 1999 was beautiful.

the hate for gov in here is ridiculous. Very underrated! With a PROPER coach he will thrive
100%

Edit: It's funny how there seems to be a prevailing view here that the media has it out for Carlton. Yet this "supporter" board seems to have a hell of a lot of Carlton bashers. Comments like "We are officially a joke of a club". SMH.

An astute thinker of the game, Caracella was credited for helping mould Tom Hawkins into an All-Australian, best-and-fairest winning key forward, notably his work to straighten Hawkins’s goalkicking accuracy. We need some of that

Other players including Stringer have credited him for turning their careers around.

Has a very good understanding of the game.
