I reckon Charlie and Harry will stay loyal. Will get bigger offers elsewhere but have toiled too long to depart on the doorstep of the promised land.

You'd hope Charlie, in particular, takes slightly unders (~700k) given he has been paid well for minimal output in the last 3 years.

We'll have McGovern's albatross contract off the books shortly, which is great.

The Williams deal hurts for now, but there is still time for him to regain his status as an extremely good attacking HBF.

Jack Martin is unreliable af, not an ideal contract given he pulls a calf every other week.

AFL PLAYER wages for the 2021 season increased 38 per cent on the COVID-19-ravaged 2020 year, with the average salary for a listed player rising to $372,224

And this is why I question 3 good players.

Good players now earn half a mil or more.

We may have room for some moneyballers (those capable of a role and who'll push us closer to 17) but if we have 1.5 mil then I'd like to know how

Would love to poach Big H’s brother Ben out of North. Would they like to play together?
I don't know if you've seen any interviews where they talk about each other, but Harry and Ben playing on the same team seems like the last thing they want to do.

They've wanted to be rivals since they were kids. Both are eternally frustrated that one or both have been injured every time we play.

Besides, Ben would cost an absolute arm and a leg to get and arguably more than he'd be worth to us. His value to North is greater than what he'd get them in return.

Ben McKay to the Blues
If it happens, i will fly to Melbourne and jog backwards naked in the Bourke street mall.

there has been a bit of an assumption that because they are brothers they would enjoy playing together - ordinarily, perhaps - I think the identical twins element throws a whole different curve ball at it - as one father of identical twin boys attested in here recently, it might be the last thing either wants
