What? SPS was “played out of position” because he didn’t have the fitness, stamina or capability to play in the midfield. He couldn’t defend, he was poor when we didn’t have the ball, and his kicking gave us little advantage. Teague tried to hide SPS in the back line and then tried to send him to the VFL to get some form but it didn’t work. If West Coast can afford to carry a one way runner in their midfield then good luck to them and SPS. But we couldn’t when we already carry Cripps and others. With Voss and our other coaches seemingly wanting mongrel and intent there was little chance SPS would get a game for he in 2022 or beyond.

I reckon I could count less than a handful of his 93 games where he played the entire game as a mid. 2 of those were against the Dogs and Pies in 2017 and 2019.

The Dogs game he had 35 disposals, 7 clearances and a goal.

The Pies game he had 21 and 2 goals.

He had the talent, we just didn't know how to use it.

Must be something the rumours that he didn't look good post review and moving him on was a culture move.

So we currently have Pick 25 and 62. So that means in order to meet minimum three picks, we either have to:

-split 25 for multiple later picks
-trade back in using players or futures
-pick very late in the draft
-Elevate rookies
