Didn't Robinson get into two fights? One in Melbourne and one in Tasmania. Allegedly he dislocated his shoulder, seems like it wasn't true, and copped a black eye back home if I recall correctly.

Still expected a sanction if not as heavy as that imposed on the senior players.

Sanction for what? Being the subject of a rumour?

I don't know if any of the Mitch rumours were true, but he obviously didn't do his shoulder fighting and no one has a picture of him with a black eye (yet), so I gather the rumours were not true.

Would you suspend someone for unfounded/false rumours?

That's what we're saying, Robinson showed no signs of those injuries. Nothing more than a rumour at this stage.

Of course not. But I thought Carlton confirmed his involvement in similar behaviour to that of the other three. If not, then fair enough.

Good to see the Carlton FC taking a strong stance. Clubs sweeping bad news under the carpet is abhorred. Blues supporters should be happy with this, As seeing your club defend players time and time again only to have them walk all over said club & let down their Team-mates & supporters is a shite feeling

The majority of Carlton supporters would be in favour of these sanctions. In fact if they're anything like me they're still furious at the three players involved and the other teammates who were around and didn't put a stop to it. I think this is the least they should do to three players who have no only embarrassed themselves, but also their teammates and the club itself.

V minor sanction although probably appropriate to the crime. Amounts to a slap on the wrist dressed up to look strong.

Only real problem may be from a PR view where the vocal politically correct minority via the media may whip up another frenzied storm. Carlton no doubt hope to look stern and line in the sand etc

Free to play regular season.... weak as Our captains urine on the St kilda police station.

They took the soft road with Fev this time two years ago... Look how that worked out.

This is a soft soft soft outcome from a club that needs to take a strong
stance.

Hardly harsh, however I would say that it fits the crime. Boozy idiots but no laws broken.

Yep, it fits the crime, but you need to one day actually fix the cultural problem and until you actually suspend the culprits from a regular season game then there isn't really a punishment.

Fev Jan 2008... where is he now?

Judd has just made a statement that he believes that the club doesn't have a Booze problem???? what a ridiculous thing to say publicly after your Second best player and one of the best forwards in the comp was forced to leave the club because of Alcohol.

It's the same line WC went with until they lost arguably there best player.

When will Carlton actually put their foot down?

Soft I say.

We suspended our Captain for what I think was something minor. We haven't had an alcohol incident since.

I think this stems from the treatment of Fev... or lack of.

The club never confirmed Robbo's involvement in any incident & his family vehemently denied he was involved in an incident. The Hun subsequently removed any mention of Robbo's involvement in any incidents in stories published after the denial from his family.

The punishment fits the timing. If it was during the season, carlton would have definitely given them weeks, but they did it in the off season and they need to get their comeuppance now. They will be feeling pretty bad and segregated over at the bullants i think, and won't be fully back within the team environment until after the NAB cup.

If they gave them 4 weeks each, they would be just scooting along now and having a slow start to the season just like their captain. thats no punishment.
