I think it's brave to say you have the 'wood' on us.
Two wins last year - one in G Archer's 300th, and the other in the final game of a wretched end to a season when everyone was smashing us (including Melbourne!!).
A win earlier in the year that but for an errant spray from a normally reliable skipper would have been ours, and then a win today in a game that the players quite obviously did not give a rat's about.
If we happen to play you in the finals and you defeat us again, I'll happily eat my words, but please, please, do not read anything whatsoever into today's result at the very least.

they do have the wood over us, we haven't beaten the roos since 05.

Credit to the doggies for their season so far. Maybe instead of the wood on you I should have said a healthy rivalry. Beside one game last year I think we have had some great games over the last few years. I remember when you pipped us at manuka that day from nowhere, I had that same feeling for a while today. Glad to take the points. You are right about if we play again, we will most likely have Simpson, Mcintosh, Edwards and possibly J Smith into our side so it will be a fairly different side, good spot there I hadn't though of it
Every night I go to bed and pray for a game against Footscray in the finals. Very, very confident it would be an even better result than today.
Well I'm lucky that your prayers probably wont be answered!
