Cant waste this new ball but the pitch wont give us much and Cummins is struggling. Give it to Bolands.

India is just a graveyard for fast bowlers and has been for decades.
Fast bowlers don't know how to ball basic line and length in conditions that don't suit.

Axar has a first class century and he's not even in yet
I’m not sure that counts for a lot given the pitches they play on in Indian first class cricket. He averages 22 in tests and 19 in ODIs which I feel is around his level.

Do agree that makes him better than a tail ender though.

I’ve noticed that Murphy’s bowled predominantly side and under cutter deliveries compared to Lyon’s traditional over spin.
Warne always got the better of opponents in India when he bowled flatter deliveries. Maybe that's the secret. Kumble wasn't exactly the most traditional spin bowler a d dominated in India. Jadeja was bowling very flat in the first innings and dominated
