Bottom four next year?

lol, at the Essendon fans.

And this dildo of a Hawthorn supporter too...

14. Richmond
15. Melbourne

Sure, yep, we're going to slip backwards 3 places next year and finish behind the team we comprehensively belted both times this season, aren't we?

Bloody chode muffin... if only extreme stupidity was an Olympic sport, be fun to watch asinine dullards like this bumbling around on the world stage.

Hell, maybe a demonstration event could be squeezed in for the Commonwealth Games, there's still time I think!

Before that, tell me everything you know about the living allowance. Is it available to other teams? Under what conditions is it given? How is it applied?

Lets go with your assumption that I know very little, and am a moron. So take it nice and slow, and make it nice and clear and explain it all to me..

no idea you finished 12th, one spot of where i predicted , most of your supporters had you scraping into the 8, on what basis im not sure . think i almost hit the mark.

you wont make the finals next year

That's just simply not true. Sure there were a couple (who were very vocal) who held this opinion, but the vast majority were very realistic about our chances this year.

Your backtracking now on your original posts reeks of sour grapes, you made some pretty strong comments about Melbourne that were foudn to be inaccurate, and this rewriting history to try and make your stance look better is just sad.

Just admit that you got it wrong and then we can all be happy :)

Changed my mind..i'll go with the GC for the spoon.

Bottom 4 2011

North
Dees
Weagles
GC

Bollox, I respect your opinion because you've demonstrated your knowledge in the past but I must admit that I'm surprised that you've got both Melbourne and North in the bottom four. I see both these teams improving next season mainly due to the natural development of their young lists. Each team also aren't going to lose much through retirements and delistings, CJ for North and McDonald for Melbourne and each team had their fair share of injuries this year. All this points to an improved performance.

I also don't see how teams like Essendon, Brisbane and Richmond will dramatically improve to leap frog them. Both Essendon and Brisbane and spectacularly imploded, I suspect that the wounds created will take several years to heal. With Richmond, while I agree will improve, still lack the depth in their squad. They're fully in rebuild mode and need to get more games into their kids.

I'm intrigued as to why you've predicted this.

No surprise.
Both young teams
Too much to go wrong
Not enough backbone yet
Where u finish this yr is irrelevant
Ups and downs to keep coming.
Almost a total lack of maturity in key positions.
Young lists are never worth backing and rarely improve linearly.
Likely down before up.
Neither has a gameplan they can adhere to yet for more than 1-2 qtrs
Fair way off.

Last yr.... near the end didnt both the Dons and North beat Saints who were HnA monsters at the time ?

Lots of chest beating.
Great for the future.
Finals next yr.

Nope.

Dont see the Dees nor North improving at the same rate as the comp till 2012-2013.

Classic bump! I've just read the whole thread and three things can be ascertained:

1. Never, ever listen to or believe anyone's opinion on BigFooty. NOT ONE person even predicted the correct combination of clubs to make the bottom 4, let alone the correct order.

2. This should be mandatory reading for all new BigFooty registrations as an example of how wrong and how irrelevant most arguments are on here.

3. Essendon fans are clearly the most deluded on here. WOW! I doubt many Bombers fans will be reading this one back.

My 2011 Predictions:

14. Gold Coast
15. Essendon
16. West Coast
17. Brisbane

Where u finish this yr is irrelevant...

Round 17, 2010:

Melbourne 22-10-142
Sydney 10-9-69

That relevant enough?

Now I'm wondering if little bollocks even watches matches involving his own team now, let alone ours...

I'm intrigued as to why you've predicted this.

Mate, I recall this character running down the Demons at the end of last year too. Now we're out of the bottom four, and beat Sydney by 12 goals only 5 rounds ago, and he's still trying it on

I've got to wonder if he'd still be spouting more or less the same stuff even if we'd made the finals this year.

Almost a total lack of maturity in key positions.

Yeah, sure - except of course for Brad Green, Mark Jamar, Brent Moloney, Jared Rivers, Aaron Davey, Joel McDonald, Matthew Warnock, Colin Sylvia...

PS- As far as lack of maturity goes, that's the problem the Swans will be facing in a year or two, when Goodes, Bradshaw, the two Boltons, and Kirk are either gone or close to it.

But I'm thinking it's safe to assume this character's not really aware of the age range within his own squad either...

Wona take it easy mate, there is no doubt that Melbourne has a great bunch of kids and will see finals soon, the point he is trying to make is that young team such as Melbourne are still young, young teams will have ups and downs and are totally unpredictable.

Melbourne lost to WCE does that mean they are better then Melbourne? No of course not, let the kids develop and don't put to much pressure onto them. It only takes a couple of key injuries for any side to lose form let alone young developing teams.

funny post, first you say that shouldn't believe anyone's opinion on BF then are happy to give your own for next year. So I hope you also mean we shouldn't believe your opinion as well ;)

Maybe mate... but to be honest, those potshots from him just sound like the same unthinking stuff we were seeing last year.

Had all sorts of characters like this one arrogantly saying that we'd somehow be last this season too, or in the bottom 4, bottom 2 or whatever, and that certainly didn't happen either.

And it's just plain stupid to say that we've got no mature players in key roles, of course. IMO, that shows up the uninformed nature of the sniping there.

Ditto for the silly assertion that somehow we haven't been able to hold to a consistent gameplan for 4 quarters in the majority of our matches. That's simply not true.

Not to mention the lame potshot about "backbone" - we're in the top 6 clubs for tackle count, for God's sake.

I'll be absolutely stunned if either the Demons or the Kangas somehow end up behind the likes of Essendon and Brisbane next year. I'd be stunned if Richmond were either, for that matter.

No, actually, it isn't. It's about as relevant as saying You couldn't beat the Dogs, Dockers, North, Carlton or Hawthorn and Sydney could.

How is Melbourne beating Sydney relevant? At all?

Yeah just like we were going down when Crouch, Barry, Hall and O'Loughlin left. It's been terrible. Climbed 7 spots up the ladder to a home final while you guys are a game and a half out of the bottom four. Gratz.

Fair enough, I agree that we won't play finals next year but I disagree with some of your points.

I admit that injuries will play a big part and nothing is certain. If, for instance, we cop long term injuries to Jamar, Green, Frawley & Sylvia we will struggle.

Regardless, at this stage it's just opinion
