Bottom four next year?

Remove this Banner Ad

Most posters has us in the bottom 4.

instead.

Hurley has been dubbed the "next big thing" and with the chance of Bourgoyne coming to Essendon, our midfield will fair pretty well. Getting a proper pre-season into Prismall and Gumby is another positive for the Bombers.

Bottom line is, people expected us to finish BOTTOM 4, whereas we finished in the TOP 8. To finish top 8 and perform better than 8 others with a depleted, young side is a great achievement. With the side we'll have next year, it sounds ridiculous to suggest that Essendon will not improve. :thumbsu:

Maybe most posters were on the money and you were overrating your list ..that happens a lot with you Essendon supporters. ;)

This isn't a bottom 4 predictions for 2011 thread guys.

It has turned into one. :thumbsu:

In no particular order:

Brisbane
Port
Essendon
West Coast

List-wise I can't see any of these teams turning things around quickly. Two will have new coaches by the beginning of 2011 (as opposed to the beginning of 2010) and the way its going the other two may have newbies by the end

13. Melbourne
14. Essendon
15. Fremantle
16. Sydney
Here's another outstanding Norf idiot with his hatred for the Swans hanging right out there in the breeze...they can keep his gonads company, as they swing stupidly in the winds of reality:p
p.s. For those who are confused, this thread was started last September, predicting who would finish bottom 4 THIS year...

You got 1 out of 4 dunderhead. About the same ratio of Norf fans with a job.

Were you in tears typing that garbage out?

It wasn't a massive call saying you would drop one spot further than you did last year. This thread was done in September pre trade week, pre-draft. Based on your list at the time you guys were a candidate for bottom four. A lot happened over trade week, the draft and Tadhg returning, Malceski returning well from injury, etc which had a massive impact.

Attacking him and attacking North because of that is down right pathetic. You are a tool.

Have yourself a big bawl. It was a predictable, ignorant call, that's what it was, and I simply called a dope a dope.

And we didn't finish 15th last year:rolleyes:

Will be interesting how much the retirement of Kirk and Roos effects the Swans performance.

Every year we say they will drop into the bottom 8 but come trade week they pull several rabits out of the hat.

Then again with GC17 and GWS pillaging uncontracted players as well as the best U17's this will be harder. But the pr!cks just signed Mitchell under the father son rules for next season. Then again I think someone will bid their first rounder next year for Mitchell to ensure the Swans pay top dollar for him.;)

Meh.

There was a lot of North in those lists too.

There is usually a couple of teams widely underrated every year- last year, there was three in Sydney, Freo and North.

This year there will be similar tripe.

'Top Dollar' would be a high teens or 20s pick for the Swans, absolute bargain for one of the most promising 16 year olds in the land

Some people don't have the sensory apparatus God gave a mole... has this boy even watched any of the AFL this season? How can anyone be so blind...

Poor analogy. A mole's sensory apparatus is it's nose and actually has more nerve endings in it than the human hand. In fact, no people have the sensory apparatus 'God' gave a mole.

btw I actually agree with the other parts of the post. Melbourne will be right up there next year.

Great bump. This thread should be on the Essendon board titled 'Why we won't finish bottom 4 in 2010'

I know there are other teams in the same boat, but I just want to hear one person say that they were wrong about Sydney this year. Just one...
