I don't see the problem.

Assuming JHFs attitude was a lost cause and our draft board has at least 2 players rated higher than whoever GWS want, we've ended up offloading JHF and 1x top selection at this draft for 2x top selections at this draft and 1x high selection next draft.

Im interested to see how it plays out at least.. no benefit from sooking over what might have been

Has any club in the history of the game traded out 2x #1 picks and downgraded them for picks 2 and 3?

I hope we have a plan and there was reasoning behind Brady’s logic

Is there a reason you and others aren't including Port's future 1st?

I’ve been critical of Brady at times but this is an appreciation post for Brady!

He’s done the job of a thousand men and my lord I imagine he was not expecting that when he first took on a role at our club. He’s no doubt worked his bum off for the club and I say thank you!!!

I’m super excited to have picks 2 and 3 and more than comfortable with the decision they’ve made. Brady’s comments on SEN just now that they have all the information at hand re JHF says a thousand words.

Ciao Jason and welcome 2 and 3 💙🤍

Brady on RSN now

I don't rate ccj in the top 15 of players 200cm or above.

- Melbourne won it with Ben Brown and Tom McDonald

- Collingwood were 1 goal away from winning a premiership with Brody Mihocek and Mason Cox as key position forwards in 2018 and were 1 goal from making the grand final this year with the same combo.

- Western Bulldogs won it in 2016 with basically just Tom Boyd.

- Richmond were basically Jack Riewoldt or bust for a number of years in the late 2010's before Tom Lynch came along.

I understand the focus on key forwards, but you can win premierships without elite key forwards provided you're playing to your strengths. Our strength is becoming very clear: midfield + medium forwards (Zurhaar, Curtis, TT, Sheezel if we draft him).

We also don't know what game-style that Clarko is working towards. His input in the area of recruitment would be extremely important - I'm not sure many around here understand just how much sway the coaches input has in recruiting.

Brady said something pretty telling this morning, when asked about if he should have held Jason to his contract, he just said “we know all the information”.

Clearly it wasn't an option. If there was any benefit to holding him, we probably would have.

Move it on and get to work. Don't waste another year on a lost cause.

Which is cool but we need a forward line system that works then.

All recent wins have been grinds.

Only 19 he's a has been.

Poor bloke sounds cooked. Lets look at his trade period so far.

OUT
Golden Goose
Pick 1
2023 3rd

IN
Griffin Logue
Darcy Tucker
ND pick 2
ND pick 3
ND pick 40
ND pick 43
Cooper Harvey
PA 2023 first
* potentially Hunter Clark

Overall a big cancer gone, our CHB position is secure for a long time, we get two of the best four kids in the nation and we get two first rounders in the 2023 superdraft.

I’ll take that.
