can someone explain why we asked for a f2 instead of 28? i can only hope we asked but got told no because tigers have other plans for 28 otherwise stupidity if that was our choice

to give us 27 and 28 we could have got both whitlocks or M whitlock plus shanahan tomorrow

tigers then get our f1 and get to keep their f2 to allow them 3 picks in the first 2 rounds next year to spread their picks

would've been a win win result instead of including f2 over 28

Nothing against Matt….but this decision is gonna hover over our 2025 season like a dark cloud.

Because the coverage will be more so on our loses than wins and who will Richmond get with the FFirst.

What’s Richmond’s FSecond gonna look like assuming they finish last next year….mid 20’s?

Don’t know about this.

If we win 6-8 games, which would be a success for our club based on recent form, we’re still not finishing higher than 14th/15th with that record.

So the trade will settle on next years pick 2-5 for at least pick 22 and this years 27.

Make it make sense.

How Brady thinks rocking up to Work on Monday will play out

Just waiting for the media release from the club

Brady in fine form tonight.

Is it wrong that I’m at the stage where I almost don’t give a flying #### what he and the other twits do with our list from here on?

I’ll keep buying memberships and turning up to games, but my care factor is at an all time low.

I still maintain if we are 1&10 mid 2025, then what????

The only way this trade makes the slightest bit of sense is if we end up with pick ten or lower, and that's being generous. They better hope for a bloody good year, otherwise another bad trade will be the final straw for me.

I don't hate it to anywhere the level others do.
Whitlock is exactly the type of player we needed, especially if the top end of next year's draft is mid heavy again.

But Brady's balls are absolutely nailed to the wall now, this has to work out or he's gone.
If we finish below Richmond. Or there's a superior KPF or gun small forward at the top of next year's draft, he's out the door.

Ludowyke next year is that guy, lets see where our f1 lands

Is there a potential first round academy player or F/S next year for you guys?

Since you now have the provisional pick 19 you must be planning to try and pick off the top pick of a club with some academy player or you have your own one you want points for.

That is the only way this makes sense.

We don’t have anyone coming through next year. Not at this early stage anyway.

I thought about this justification, but even then, with the change in points we’d need to maintain a first rounder in order to satisfy an early bid.

We have Sam Harris and Aiden McCartney coming through in 2026. Both of whom are shaping up to be potential first round picks. So maybe we’ll look to move all our 2026 hand into 2025?

Who knows.

Either way it’s a pathetic outcome for a potential top 5 pick.

they clearly stupidly don't value the f1

in hindsight i think i almost rather have given that f1 and gotten houston (at the time i was so happy we kept our f1 due to him turning us down)

would have meant we have houston (and not traded for daniel) and then take a whitlock with our second rounder

There's now a tonne of pressure on poor Whitlock. He needs to turn out to be a gun for this to be an acceptable trade (and he's a chance dgmw). If he's a bust this is one of the worst trades in history.

This whole offseason has reeked of desperation, which I can understand given the last 5 years. But it doesn't fill me with hope that we're aiming for a premiership, rather people at the club trying to save themselves by burning valuable longterm capital.

Rawling should have been moved on from the club when he was demoted from the GM of Football role. And yeah I've been a big critic of this twit but it has to be said he aint on his Pat Malone here. Viney is as much to blame. After all his the GM of Football. Claytons is a lazy hack on the gravy train. And why is Redfoo still at the club? The place is a shambles. :stern look
