for one, unbiased football fan is the biggest oxymoron i've seen in a long while.

but also lol hero worshiping, is that replacing apologist? good to keep your routine fresh.
Show me one post where you have criticised Rawlings?

One common denominator over our shower of shit five years and he’s faultless in your eyes.

Imagine being that dumb and worshipping some visually repugnant bloke who is more responsible for our current predicament than any other.

so, just to be claer, i need to show one critical post so to prove to you that I don't "worship him"

My god that is so stupid...

Like straight up man, be critical, don't, i don't care, but don't be a complete ****wit about it.

SillyGit I’m waiting for a single post criticising Rawlings over the past five years.

Got my deck chair and esky out, look forward to you showing it.
I know you are, you get off on calling people apologists, worshippers, blah blah blah.

Because this opinion that you have of him is absolute.

So if anyone isn't 10000% in agreeance with you, that means that the must love everything about him. Right?

Dumb as the day is long.

Nope. My opinions are not absolute, I’m just not a cheerleading idiot. He has been at the club since when? And how has the club fared in that time? Should we keep just giving him a free pass because he is well connected at the club? He is one of the biggest reasons we are in the position we’re in.

In terms of this trade period. Was happy to get Daniel, didn’t like the price but didn’t criticise. No issue with Parker. Not a fan of getting Darling.

We put out one of the most laughable trades of all time and anyone with even a semblance of objectivity is going to criticise it.

lol you absolutely are a cheerleader

25 for Daniel was fine - we will have guaranteed value from him
27 for F1 was fking awful. Stinks of desperation. It actually has increased the pressure of expectation on the club for mine - finals in 2025 or Brady gets sacked. You can't keep flogging along with the same bloke making continued mistakes. We have all been very patient.

And you might say that he didn't make this decision in isolation, and you might be right. But I don't care. There has to be accountability. Brady is in the position. Finals or try somebody new in the role.

I'm in the same boat cause i think he gets unfairly mocked every year. Personally i think his record is no were near as bad as it's made out to be on here.

I have been in China for werk (business class no wifi get real QANTAS) but just logged in to watch a replay of the draft. 1stly well done to Bradly and the team for nailing FOS at pick 2 where it can be hard to find a top talent. Then trading a futuristic first (realistically pick 10-14) for pick 19 next year and the best tall in the draft was superb. I have Farkhausen and Stephens in my top 32 picks so to get them in the latter rounds is a real feather in the box.

What is going on with Brady? Some very strange decisions this off season. Reminds me of the horror show we had with Ned Guy.

The future first for 27 is even worse when you consider you traded pick 25 for Caleb Daniel. So you had a pick in that range but had to trade a future first to get one back. That’s pick 2-8 for Caleb Daniel and Richmond’s 2025 2nd pick 22-26.

That incompetence is worth getting fired over isn’t it?
He should've been arseholed years ago. When he was stripped of the GM of Football Position. It is an indictment on the Football Club that Rawling still has a job at the Mighty NMFC. A very large part for us being so bad for the last 5 years is due to that buffoon. :stern look

Pull your head out mat :mad:e

IDK if it's driven by Brady, but it does seem like we have a trend of not caring too much about what we spend in order to acquire talent we have identified as needing.

On the player trading side of it I think 3/4 of the issue is that there simply aren't many good players that want to cross over to us, less options means less chance of grabbing hold of a good deal and then the clubs we do trade with know they have us slightly by the balls because we have **** all options to fall back on (while needing to acquire talent because the list isn't getting the job done).

The draft side of it hasn't been too bad overall? This year arguably being the first where a first rounder has been involved in a really ??? decision, if memory serves.

My gut says that he isn't great at negotiating trade deals but the rest is alright. The question becomes, why isn't he good at it? Is it because he's just shit, or because the club keeps finding itself is in too compromised of a position, or a bit of both?

What bias? Objectively and by every metric and assessable criteria it’s a horrible, horrible unbalanced trade. My only criteria here is improving the club and accountability. Results speak for themselves. You have nothing.

If you have somehow convinced yourself that it was a good trade then I have a flat earth to talk to you about.
My point has nothing to do with the trades and everything to do with the transparent abuse of language to say that there are only unbiased football fans vs Brady cheerleaders. One could just as easily and justifiably counter that there are only fair minded supporters of the football club vs deranged Brady haters whose thought processes are cooked. See how that works?

There is no objective opinion that could positively review the trade from the other day. If you are doing that then you’re just blindly supporting someone just for the sake of it/because you like them.

He has been at the club and involved with the list for 5 years. He absolutely should be criticised and others have lost their jobs for less.

rumour has it he tried to trade a cat b rookie pick for nothing

such is his value he places on them

meanwhile eagles get malakai champion as a cat b
and other clubs signing more cat b rookies
We dont have the financial resources for it. Trust me when I say that. The AFL program was slashed for other ventures.
