The big diff is one is out of contract.Win win trade in my opinion, players fit each team's needs.
Duursma on the left, BZT on the right

That sound so familiar, going back 12 months, was it you saying that about the JHF and Rioli trades.?Geez port are hard to deal with, holding up the BZT and Sav trades.
It's a bad look going after players and not willing to get the deal done.
Good - salary dump of a player that's barely first 22.The big diff is one is out of contract.
How can Essendon retain BZT if he is out of contract ?

There are clubs needing defenders before Essendon though... including the Roos.I think it means they'll be happy to redraft him in the PSD?

Actually reading the article it says Essendon believe he's a required player and have the 3 year deal in front of him. They think he still has a place in the backline. I think what they're getting at is neither draft is an option as multiple teams that would want him have picks before PortI am fairly certain a team crying out for KPDs like North Melbourne would grab BZT in the event he went into The PSD.
Esava, although not worth 25 should get done for that - if not he goes to the draft I think.
okey dokeyScott brothers doing it for Victoria…
It's not really Port's fault that their pick is worth less than it actually should be. If our 25 was actually 25 I would hope we wouldn't offer it in the first place. Esava is worth about 30 in an open draft, I'm not really sure how anyone could argue any differently.Well 25 isn't 25, it's about 30 but yeah that should be the end deal. Doubt it would get any further than it has.
As for BZT and Duursma, i'm sure there will be a bit of haggle but they'll work it out.
Want some salt for that chip?Scott brothers doing it for Victoria…
2018 draft we'd happily take pick 30. But most of the players taken in the 20s this year would be rookie picks that year. This draft sucks, that's why no one is accepting picks in itIt's not really Port's fault that their pick is worth less than it actually should be. If he went to the draft you would see this, as I highly doubt anyone would be picking him up before then.

Maybe shouldn’t have dropped Sav all last year and this year thenB. Scott's love for BZT is not even in the same postcode as C. Scott's love for Sav.
If his wife would allow it, C. Scott would marry Sav
For one this is a simple trade to extract maximum value, for the other, this is akin to a scorned lover who cannot let go.
Hoping he does a backflip and stays.
I really don't want Duursma. No better than Guelfi.
I'd much rather keep BZT than get Duursma personally. He's actually quite a good defender just being played out of position, Hopefully keeping him is an option. I think our defense actually starts looking pretty solid if he stays, assuming McKay can stay on the park.Duursma showed a bit briefly many years ago, but BZT would be more critical for us. If we can keep him it'd be a win. Even with the addition of McKay we are so light-on down back.
