Buddy's developing place on the All-Time Ladder

Remove this Banner Ad

This thread has slipped down the pecking order dramatically. Maybe a 'token' update for Rough's 2 goals against the Swans might be warranted. ;)

Although improbable (as we'd damn well better win!) , it's sobering to think that the next Buddy update, assuming he snags a few tomorrow, could conceivably be the last. :(

Rough could crack the Top 100 by season's end.
For those wondering, Rough's currently in 108th (364, 182), sitting behind:

Pavlich is now just one behind Buddy. (Surely, worth an update Linda? :hearts: )

I sure as hell don't want to put the mockers on the boys but.... would it be a fair prediction to say that if, after Saturday's game, Pav has retaken the lead ahead of Buddy then we'll most likely all be crying into our beers because we would have lost. o_O

Also, it may well be Bud's last game in the Brown and Gold. :( If so - let's hope he goes out all guns blazing and a dual-premiership player!!! :thumbsu:

Let's not forget that Buddy has kicked the most goals in finals of all current players

45 Lance Franklin
41 Nick Riewoldt
37 Steve Johnson
35 Travis Cloke
34 Paul Chapman
32 Jonathan Brown
28 Matthew Pavlich
25 Adam Goodes
25 Stephen Milne

I like your stats better than my speculative musings! :hearts:

A nice bag of 5 (assuming he has a quiet day...:D) to get him to the half-century would do rather nicely. :thumbsu:

Linda's definitely gone MIA. :D Still in a drunken (non-purple) haze somewhere perhaps?

So, are we about to see the dreaded little golden padlock applied to this thread?
I'll miss the big guy. :( (and for the record, I will lose my sh*t if he ends up at the swans.)

People have suggested a Roughy's developing place thread but perhaps there should also be one for that man Gunstall! That boy came of age on Saturday.

Be better to do Normie than Rough.

Normie's got a hellofalot of names to overtake whereas Rough doesn't and he's heading for the top 100 goalkickers ever.

Who wants to kick start the "Gunstall's developing place on the all time ladder" thread? Just checked out statistics, and after 56 games he's on 105, a better goal:game ratio than Luke Breust who we all thought was climbing the ladder rapidly. Very impressive for a tall forward.
Buddy after 56 competitive games was on 125 goals after a season of 73 goals in 2007 as our main target, so good luck to Gunners to make up a 20 goal gap at this stage, especially when 2008 was Buddy's peak ;).

Thanks to all for your comments, thoughts and interest in this thread. Some posts were really interesting, some plain silly, all worthwhile (thats Big Footy).

I firmly believe we witnessed greatness season after season from Buddy. Let's all look forward to Lance being inducted into the HFC Hall of Fame sometime in the future.

This is my final post here. Cheers, Linda.

If I were to create one, would it go in the Stats Board?

Hate to say this but lock this thread.

Buddy's in Sydney colours.

Been a great thread to, first, read and second, comment in.

Was inevitable but nevertheless disappointing.
