Conversely, I’m perplexed at this notion that we should want to play at the G. We played 12 games at Marvel and only 2 at the G - this year and most years.
All I care about is winning. Couldn’t give a toss about the spectacle of playing a final there. If we finish above our opposition we should be afforded a rightful advantage. I wouldn’t be so strongly against it if we were playing a neutral opponent but being forced to play Hawks at their home ground is a joke.
Exactly right. It's their home ground. Why are we so happy conceding that?

I am currently in Germany and managed to watch the last quarter (will watch the replay next). Flying home in time for finals, just like I did in 2015.

currently on a flight home from a trip to the states and canadia, also planned around finals, last time I did this trump won an election (& something else happened that was actually pretty cool)

Conversely, I absolutely give a toss about the spectacle of playing there.

For me and from my perspective, I want to watch my team play finals at the G at every opportunity, whether it's the other team's home ground or not. I love the experience, win, lose or draw.

Outstanding win. Put the foot down when the game was in the balance.

Fingers crossed Liam Jones doesn't cop a holiday.

A little perplexed at the G is not our home ground so should play at Marvel vibe.

It's the G! And it's a final. Every day of the week I'd choose the G over Marvel, as a spectator and a player (if I was one).
I'd pick the G over the souless dome as well. Plus the tighter and faster deck at Marvel suits the Hawks I reckon. With the MCG we have more width to break out of their tight smothering game style that we struggle to move the ball against.

The Grand Final is played at the MCG. I rather us get used to it.

Strange take. Hawks are a faster, stronger running side than us.
If we want to get ‘used to it’ we should ask for more H&A games there during the year.

Are we thinking it's gonna be a Saturday day game? Last year Saints and GWS finished 6th and 7th.
Only game in Melbourne. Very likely to be either Friday or Saturday night. Channel 7 will push for it to be in prime time.

Have always felt the wide open spaces at the MCG favours our forward line - how nervous would you be one out on Darcy, Naughton, Ugle-Hagan, English or Bontempelli.

The Hawks play a tight in your face physical style. We struggle to move the ball when others teams are locked in like that. I think the wider dimensions can help us break that.

Assuming pretty much everyone pooped a bit and thought we were going to find a way to lose it when we were only 2 goals up in the last before Freijah's godlike mark?

I was expecting some individual brilliance from Greene to drag them over the line again if Freijah hadn't taken that mark.
