Our point against is a little bit deceptive. Deeper look into the stats this season suggests that it's not the defensive unit itself (while obviously good etc.) but the midfield with up the ground pressure, clearance wins, intercepts up the ground. Obviously backmen have some job but not entirely.

Opponents are actually getting an above league average shots per I50.
Isn't that usually the recipe for point conceded?

I'd have thought most would be aware that it's the defensive pressure + game plan as a whole that is responsible for a good overall team defence. Sure, the actual backline is important, but it starts and finished with overall team defence.

Bollocks to all the “We need to play the Hawks at Marvel!” talk.

Finals are at the MCG, let’s embrace it and not turn into a bunch of Chris Scott’s.

Great win today, we were very professional, limited them when they had the breeze and took advantage when we had it.

Let’s go Dogs.

Got smashed on the hitouts as per usual but didn’t think it made any difference and he and Darcy had far more impact than Briggs & Keefe.
Keeffe especially was just blocking and grabbing onto English.

He doesn't get a free or two in the ruck that he always should.

Shoutout to Bailey Williams, who played on the outer wing against the win and covered an absolute mountain of running and did smart play to control the game against the wind. Big impact with possession against the strongest wind of the day in the 1st with a lot of time wasting.
He’s been terrific for many weeks after having had doubts cast over him during the early part of the season.
Great to see him achieve 150 games too.

I hope everyone, like me, read Baz’s response in the voice of that guy in the Simpsons who tells Kent Brockman it’s time for us all to cut each others heads off and feast on the goo inside.
For some reason, I read it like the Robert Deniro impression in that one bad neighbour's movie. "Yes I did. Yes I did Focker".

Ultimately to win the premiership we have to do it at the G. Certainly would be nice to play a bit more at the G during the season and least get one home game given we have over 60K members now.

Not sure if it’s been asked before but anyone have any idea on how many tickets you can purchase for the final on a social club membership? Reckon I need 4..
A social club member gets no more allocation than a normal member. I think it will be 2 per membership max
