Now now kids, play nice, there is only 2 games to go then it's season over.

Simmer not having a go, but you stated that HR had the raw end of the conditions for the game, the breeze was going to the fitzroy st all day.

1st - Slight breeze HR kicking with it
2nd - No breeze Orm kicking that end
3rd - Blowing a gale HR wasted it
4th - Blowing a gale Orm used it well

Going by that theory, if there were any favourable conditions, HR had the better of them. End of story. Lets move on.

Wrong GR. I've read all these posts and wasn't going to comment cos i really couldn't be stuffed but now a will.
The second half it was obviously blowing a gale and Ormond used it much better in the 4th than Hampton did in the 3rd. But it was much more of an advantage kicking to the Fitzroy Street end in the 2nd compared to the 1st. I know that other dude said it even stopped at one stage in the 2nd (i don't remember this happening), but for the rest of the quarter it was much stronger than it was for Hampton's opening quarter. If i had a choice i would have preferred to kick to the Fitzroy Street end in the 2nd & 4th compared to the 1st & 3rd. In saying that, i agree with Uncle Mick, no excuses and Hampton had their chances but we beaten by a better side on the day.
Just had to clarify that one.

I had a mate of mine over from the western region and a pretty good coach as well, he picked no's 13 and 43 as cats, they wouldn't last 5 minutes over there.By the way uncle no. 13 jumped out of the way of Martinov as he went for a mark at the Ritz hotel end,Martinov marked it and kicked the goal. You say he would never skirt the issue maybe he wears a skirt

I am sick of so-called experts from other leagues saying that surburban football is so much tougher that the ammo's. The bottom line is is that ammo football is running brand of football played on bigger grounds than our surburban counterparts.
If ammo players are so soft then why are our best talent continuously raided by teams in these comps. I am sure some of the heavier guys running around in the Western leauge would get found out in the ammo's.
Also, explain to me how the following could happen -
Dinneen ex Marcellin winning two comp B&F's in a row at Vermont...
Greig ex Trinity winning the goal kicking in the EFL for the upteenth time...
Hakim ex Old Essendon kicking goals at Greenvale...
Cody Morris ex Mazenod leading Scoresby's goal kicking in Div 1 EFL...
Simpson ex Melb High starring at Spotswood
Tim Harvey ex St Bernards - Strathmore

And thats all I can think of of the top of my head but there are numerous more examples...

I tell you this, if your mate is a coach of a side in the WRFL and thats his thought process, well its time for his current team to look for a new coach.

In regards to the Western Football League it would probably rate at about number 5 in the surburban football stakes -
1. Eastern
2. A Grade Ammos
3. Essendon
4. Northern
5. Western
6. Southern
That's just my opinion anyway.

We've got a big game coming up this weekend, but can anyone tell us what to expect in C section in 2009 coming from D1? Looks like most of the clubs that have come through tend to dominate the comp. Is it just a weak competition that maybe the better D1 clubs should be in?

God help B grade if Hampton go up. Zebra 3’s literary ineloquence is barely tolerable here but if he has to lock horns with the educated Private boys, well that would be something else. Talk about being out of your depth.

On ya mate.. because literary eloquence goes hand in hand with football talent.. what a load of rubish. your pedestrian argument's are only outweighed by your pure ignorance of everything. I hope your parent's didnt waste 100g on private school. go away.

It's quite obvious your parents didn't even spend $100 on your education. One would like to call you a "tool" however tools can be usefull, unlike you.

did we all see that joel selwood made the all-austrailan squad today.. do we think c sections own joel selwood in 21# ting for rovers will make the C section team of the year. it will be a great effot if he does.. he has been a key player for hampton all year. id have him on the wing in my team of the year.

I reckon #10 for the Rovers is a certainty for the small forward position in the Team Of The Year!!!

Who is he going to tackle now Mazel? Your OUT. So now you have no finals to play and rumor has it you have no coach either.

Groundsman ......The sun rises and the sun sets..... there is always 2009!!!

Anyhow .....how do you know what is happening at Ajax?
