All the best to Fraser "The Blade" Cameron this week for his 300th game.

Anyone that has been involved with Frase at the Reds, and I dare say at Trinity too, will agree that you don't have to ask him twice to do anything for you or the club and I hope the boys can lift a knotch to bring home the four points for the old boy.

Have a rippa Blade.

Thanks Lemms and Mappa for your kind words.

The big shorts have been packed and we're ready to make the longest trek in Premier C out to Sunbury to hopefully chalk up the Roys' maiden victory on the Woodsmen's home turf. Young legs and unscarred minds should make the match a free-flowing exhibition of quality footy.

Can't wait. :thumbsu:

I have finally got a PC again, albeit without a mouse which makes navigation a little awkward. So, to save fingerwork, I'll just look at the last tips posted and copy them, changing the Rupo pick to Red Roys if need be.

Beauey (is there a way to spell that?)
Mazenod
AJAX
Caulfield
Fitzroy

[mousekeys].... vrrpoooom *screech*

PS: The 'p' in 'vrrpoooom', is not a mistake, its the rice in my mice ...

Yep! Enjoy the day F.C.

BTW. The pic in the Amateur Footballer has you looking well under 40. Must have been snapped a while back.:D

What a day at Rupppo. The great man scribe ran out for his 300th with the Roy Boys who looked very pumped to honor the milestone. Low and behold within minutes, the two most influential players from both sides, (Fraser looked like having a big one) and Sangers (has been best on ground in the first 15 minutes in his last 12 matches) who is our game record holder and legend were both forced to the sidelines with young man injuries. As we got pumped Sangers was kept on ice but FC come on in the last few minutes to score goal of the year. It was amazing. Well done Fraser.

The seniors game was a cracker, no better highlight than the duel between Leigh Brennan and James O'Reilly. Both amazing players, i call it even in spite of Leighs 4 goals, O'Reilly would fit in well at Rupertswood. We were 25pts down in the third quarter so our fightback was pretty good. Either side could have been deserved winners, we are very happy to get away with the 4 pts.

Thanks KB - very amusing curtainraiser at Rupo yesterday.

Very touched by the guard of honour which greeted me on entering the ground with both the Roys and the Rupo lads (including KB!) lining up. Tried to sneak a cheeky elbow at Sangers on the way through before we tossed the coin together.

Lost the toss, racked up 5 quality touches in 12 minutes before the hammy tweaked and I knew it was only minor, but probably match ending. Still, fortunate to sneak back on with 3 minutes to go and we were 12 goals up and managed to kick a 45 metre goal with a strained hamstring (15m up, 15m down and 15m deep).

Thanks to KB, The 2 Robs, and all the other Rupo crew who are no doubt in the top echelon of quality VAFA people I've come to know in my time here.

I couldn't stick around for the senior match (after a 1hr 45minute drive, the good wife had made a 2.45pm appointment in town to make the most of the day), but a few of the guys were pretty dirty we couldn't hold on. Had every chance, but hopefully a win is just around the corner.

Looking like OC, Parkdale and maybe Ormond will be our prime targets for wins in the next few weeks. Must be 3-6 at least by the turn if we're to stay up.

Cheers

Frase

congrats Scribe on a great achievement! was just watching the footage of you being chaired off ... you only look about twenty-something. What's your career goal? 500 games? 550?

I think The Blade's got a young head on an age-ing body if his repeated hammy problems are any indication. Apparently he was a close call to make the senior side for the milestone. Still, a bit of a bummer the selectors chose to name him as emergency for the seniors in his 300th rather than slotting him in the ones.

I thought the young Monders performed reasonably well against arguably the flag favourites in a scrappy game in ordinary conditions.

It is always hard to tell how either side is going in those conditions. Must be something about Caulfield and Ormond as the pre season game was in a similar gale.

I would have thought Ormond would take some heart from the game. They were very competitive in the seniors and unlucky in the reserves. Plenty to work with there.

Found the show put on by the mullet wearing #23 for the monders quite funny. Strutted like a rooster but probably was a bit more of a poor man's Mark Jackson in the end.

Great gesture by young Tom K to handball to Fraser. GREAT TO SEE THE BOYS COME FROM EVERYWHERE TO CONGRATULATE HIM.

Lots of people would have got 5 again this week if it hadn't been for the draw!

Ajax v Mazenod - This should be a close one, but I'll tip the Nodders to bounce back from some inaccuarte kicking last week to grab this one.
Parkdale v Caulfield - Could be very ugly.
Ormond v Old Geelong - Have got better every week and will be just too good for OG's.
Old Camberwell v Rupertswood - The home side just. They were good last week and although Ruppo are also travelling well, the home advantage will be the difference.
Fitzroy v Beaumaris - This also has the potential to get ugly.

Love your work OTP with the tipping table..

Some big games over the next few weeks for some teams

Ajax - Going with form here
Caulfield - By who knows what...
Ormond - Must win game for them
Rupo - I reckon they are a pretty good side.
Beaumaris - Could be large...
