Morning Richie, morning all. (sounds better than afternoon)

Scuba diving gear required for the tigers tomorrow at the Barnard. And i can guarantee that all you will be seeing is murky waters and not much pretty little coral as the OC boys run rampant. Surly.... you are a very clever mutant as big Kaney will not play. Got the bum steer on that one. But loats and new recruit will play.
Where is JuicySkipper? We have heard a rumour that it happens to be a wingman from SBMT as his alter ego.
Well good luck to all..... and your mums

Well this is true, I concur. Are all these changes injury/availability-related or is it also the search for the best form players, the best mix?

I'm hapoy to hear yeas and nays on this. I'm pretty sure about it, but it is only my opinion.

As predicted earlier in the week, the Reds will go in significantly stronger( on paper) for this weeks clash. Get on them.

Liam Holloway to line up for monash tomorow. Can someone confirm this ?

The VFL releases are out........the Reds are still affectionately known as the Williamstown 3rds. Surprisingly not alot of the Hampton boys have been released with the Sandy reserves week off.

Twelve players back into the Reds Seniors - the twos went three better with 15 inclusions.

The draw is out for D Grade Round 1 2007. The first match is Hampton Rov ers vs Fitzroy Reds. Interesting

If Parade avoid relegation I will buy you the Fish and Chip shop SoTY. And a nice little pizzeria just of Chapel St

Good hard game at Hampton today, Rovers ran out the eventual winners 14.15.99 to Paradians 10.15.75.

Game was in the balance most of the way through, with Paradians taking the early lead and then grabbing it back in the third after a 2nd quarter comeback by Hampton.

A melee entertained the crowd during the third, we'll see how entertained VAFA is, they'll probably have a sense of humour failure. Shortly after that one of the Hamptonites was carried off with a knee injury, hope its not too bad.

OP basically died midway through the fourth, whether it was fitness or they just ran out of balls I don't know. Definitely dropped the shoulders and started slinking around when five minutes beforehand they were a real chance with several players serving it up to Hampton. Shame about that.

Paradians in D1 next year, Rovers can still salvage it and may retain their C spot.

yeah, good win by rovers to keep their fire alive in c section. heard also amongst some parade gentry talking that they are lining up an exstudent with very good coaching record for next season to bring new blood into the group.

Was that a 160pt turnaround? That'd mean it was one point improvement for every player returning from injury!

Back from a great game at The Gunn today. See-sawing game today that saw the Jackas get over the line by 9 points. A 5 goal 2nd quarter by the Jackas was matched by a dominant Mondas quarter in the 3rd to leave the game in the balance at the last change. But the Jackas dominated the first 15 minutes of the last quarter to put the game beyond doubt.

Full forward Rosen was the dominant forward on the ground kicking a bag for the Jackas. Jackas looking like the only possible threat for the boys from Brindisi. A midfield with Lewski, Ritterman and Sutton is going to pose problems for a number of teams in the competition.

Bring on September (or late August).

Good call Scroda. Also saw the game at the Gunn and thought the little Russian was BOG. Manpower is a tank and will help the Jackers in their quest for the major prize.

Missed you at Gillon on Saturday or does your nose bleed when you get that far from home

Caught the last 3 quarters of a superb match at Monash Uni between the Students and Parkdale.

The game had everything including the return of one of the students favourite sons, a handful of pin head supporters from Parkdale looking to get physical with the umpires after the game, and some epic man on man contests.

Surely it gets no bigger than these two games, Blues vs the Reds & Ormond vs the Vultures, with finals spots and D grade (for the Reds) on the line.

Yeah Big Red, believe Parky were 40 or so points up in the 2nd Qtr...I'm sure they will be lamenting not finishing the Students off and grabbing 4th spot. With the top two now sewn up, will be an entertaing last 3 weeks to see who can steal the last 2 spots in the finals (will it matter beyond week 1 of the finals is unknown!) and who will drop. Given the way the season has gone anything and everything is bound to happen....

Wonderful team performance by St. Bede's against OC on Saturday at Gordan Barnard. The flag fav's had clear winners on every line, played aggressive ,running footy and gave OC a huge lesson in nearly every facet of the game. No excuses here, comprehensively defeated by a great side.

The only slight weakness I could find was that St. Bede's are not particularly tall ( mind you they marked well) and they were beaten at the tapouts all day,(not however at the clearances as such).

Possibly could be exploited by a really good ruckman and a tall marking forward line. I doubt any team in 'C' Grade this year has the right recipe to bring the fav's undone.

As for OC, they have to regroup ( not for the first time this season) and win 3 straight to have any hope of seeing finals action. Clearly Loats and Christie must be in,if this is to occur. Winnable games against Parade and Nobs follow in the next fortnight, the final hurdle being Ajax in Rnd 18.

Simply stated if they are good enough they'll win the 3 games and make it, if not the 4 th spot will go to a more deserving side. That's how footy works. Has been a great season so far ,with most teams fortunes fluctuating along the way. Much interest still in crunch grade.

Fantastic win by the Redders on Saturday to hold the RedNOB Cup.

This was my first time at Gillon & without a doubt, it is the best ground I have visited in the VAFA since following the RedRoys. Beaut old grandstand, old-style terracing, a picturesque sight in the eastern pocket with the palm tree near the croquet club, plus the ground was in fair shape, apart from the sticky wicket area. For the chance to visit their ground again, I hope NOB's stay up. What a great football ground.

The Reds looked a bit iffy in the first half & couldn't shake off the persistant NOB outfit, but the third quarter was impressive. The final scoreline was deceptive as it wasn't until the last quarter that the Redders put the foot on the pedal & made up some of the precentage lost in the previous matches against OC & SBMT. Reds were boosted with Big Kane and Cogsy back from Willy, Gleeso was carving them up around the packs. A fine team effort that on Saturday's form might trouble the Nashers at the BSO next Satdy.

Nice to have a bit of breathing space, however our last game against Hampton is still a potential relegation scrap. Mind you, we play our b1tches at the EE Gunn the week after next, and we know how the brown & blue boys shake with fear when they spot the red & blue with a gold FFC running on the field, no matter how well they play against others. Go Reds!

Can anyone tell me any reliable information in regard to Parade coaching for 2007. There have been many rumours. Is there anyone from out North that can give us accurate information from a reliable source.

REDS - I am eating my words !

They are a great side after all - super coach had a good day and I reckon they will will be a huge force in 2007 in this league !

FINALS - HOTTING UP !

OC - Rested Loats and Christie for the expecting hiding from the league leaders but I like their run home . . . winnable rounds 16 and 17 and then the Jackers at EP round 18 . . .

If they win their last 3 they must finish 4th ?? Do the maths !!

MONASH - with the great man back for one dance in 2006 (flown in from perth) they only drew . . . missed their opportunity. Always be weary of this side but they don't seal the deal in C Grade for mine . . . last chance also as have players leaving at seasons end for good.

PARKDALE - The Vultures are like a good red wine - have aged well and know how to hang tough !!! Not for me

ST BEDS
JACKAS
ORMONDO
OC'S

That's my four !

Don't believe everything you read Tiger Nuts as the 2nd semi may be at the 'Parks Victoria' jewel in the crown ground. The VFL may need Sandys ground for a VFL final. Ok, I'll help you out. The Parks Victoria jewel in the crown ground is The Junction oval. Lucky SBMT & Ajax.

What about those Reds Spencer?? As predicted, they smashed Nobs (by even more than I predicted!).
Just had a look at the summary on the St bedes website re their game on Saturday. Very funny. They say they won by 150 points (99) then go to say what a great job some guy did on loats....he didn't play( refer teamsheet!). How funny is that! I reckon he might have had a few or obviously wasn't at the game!

Didnt see Loats name on the Ammos site, I take it thats the team that plays named under the scores and details. Maybe they have another tall forward who looks like Loats?
