Surprised I couldn’t find a thread on this guy here.

This was in the herald sun this weekend:

I wouldn’t mind him at North for a bit of poise and experience on the back flank.

What would WB charge in draft capital?

Tho he’s got an AA, and contracted, it feels like it should be a second rounder.

He’s finished. Dogs will do well get a 3rd for him
Wouldn't go as far as finished. Will play a few good years at a team that can carry a highly skilled slower outside player. That team just isn't us with our best 2 mids on the slower side and 3 tall forwards

North can't carry anymore slow, overpaid, apparently highly skilled footballers - even for us he's maybe a F3rd. Maybe.

Is he actually slow tho? He's not explosive like say McKercher, but he covers the ground well and he's agile.

He hasn't been played to his strengths very often over the past couple years.

He’d comfortably be your most skilful player outside of Sheezel and maybe McKercher.

I know every team’s cast off gets suggested to North, but considering how brutal North’s field kicking was at times this year and that he’s still an elite kick and accumulator and super versatile and would generally be one of the better players on the outer at any club, this one would actually improve North.

100%. He's in the right age demographic for us, he's got great vision, he can set up aggressive plays through a contested corridor, and he'd allow McKercher to move up to the wing and/or Fisher to play as a small forward (two of our bigger structural weaknesses in 2024).

Yeah, basically play Sheezel and McKercher wherever you want and plug in Daniel wherever is left needing an elite kick.

Our annual shuffling of deck chairs between our sinking ships.
Bizarre, isn't it? So many players, so little impact.

Finished is way too harsh

Was our 2nd highest rated player in the final, behind only Treloar - 23 possessions, 5 score involvements, 4 tackles, 300+ metres gained.

Has struggled to find a role this year, but was really good the last 3 weeks, 23-25 disposals every game.

His ball use is still great (efficiency 80% this year).

At 28 plenty left to offer.

Would love him at Eagles, our short kicking accuracy is putrid. Would band aid that issue for us.

To his credit, he's always been a strong finals player. Even in a tough year for him, Bevo called upon him to play on Friday night and he was one of the Dogs' bright performers.

He'd be a clear upgrade on Lachie Jones at Port Adelaide. If Perryman and Cumming both go, he might fit in really well at GWS.
