Adelaide - Gws - Fremantle to work together somehow for a three way trade

Lachie Neale to Adelaide
Cam Mccarthy to Freo
GWS- ?

Neale will come home , hasn't signed for Fremantle , Adelaide has plenty of room in the cap for Neale (Tippett & dangerfield money) and he would be a replacement for Scott Thompson (who will retire)

Josh Jenkins is in the air with this too, hasn't signed on yet with Adelaide and both Fremantle and Gws will be looking for a tall forward. Maybe he fits in somewhere?

Neale plus Fremantle's third round pick to Adelaide

Adelaide First round pick to GWS

McCarthy and Jenkins to Fremantle

I'm sick of GWS trading everyone out and getting first round picks for them then picking up whatever academy players they like plus top 10 pick after top10

Everyone should just boycot trading with GWS this year so they need to delist players rather then get value in return

Ummm, yeah nah, they have a fair few options to delist. Guys like Treloar, Boyd, Tyson & McCarthy are not 'delist' players - you either pay up for them or they play at GWS.

Neale plus Fremantle's third round pick to Adelaide

Adelaide First round pick to GWS

McCarthy and Jenkins to Fremantle

Don't mind this. Freos 3rd should be reasonably early (pick 40, give or take) so Adelaide can definitely do something with that (they could have 2 picks in the 30's, if they had a rookie elevation late they could upgrade with an academy club into the 20's).

GWS get a first rounder for a lost cause.

Dockers start their rebuild by going for the big piece of the puzzle. Losing Neale hurts but you've got some decent young midfielders so 1 step back 2 steps forward

100%. He's not sitting on his couch smashing beers all day, he's remaining very fit and firing for the future with South Fremantle. Worth a 2017 1st rounder in my opinion. One of the best young KPFs in the country, yet some people think he's worth a third rounder? Where's the logic?

I regularly frequent many of the fine drinking establishments around freo, and on more than a few occasions have seen Cam out and about. I wouldn't be too sure this is the case.

I think GWS fans need to temper expectations about what he is worth now, and Freo fans need to be realistic in their thinking that this guy is the savior to all our KPF problems.

He's not worth a first round pick anymore. GWS have screwed him around enough now and have to accept unders for him or force him into a second year playing at South Fremantle. I think they get it now - he doesn't like the place and wants out. He couldn't possibly return to his team mates now. He obviously has a lack of friends and supports in GWS.

He is either playing for WCE or Fremantle next year.

Do you really think any team needs so many kpfs? They were very shrewd in drafting them all as kpfs tend to have the highest trade value
One one the few things sos got right

Any person who would give up a first rounder for Cam McArthy would be a terrible list manager.

There is no negotiation with McCarthy now. GWS have a responsibility to get him to a WA club. This is the real world - it's not fantasy football or lala land. They have a responsibility to get him to the club that he wants despite any previous contracts that have been signed. He has sat out a year of football and will do it again. GWS have little to gain other than posturing for future trades. If GWS hold firm, they risk becoming public enemy number one and the bad boy of the competition - this will significantly limit growing the supporter base. The just can't do it.

Heh "responsibility". I think the right thing for the Giants to do would be to trade him to Freo for a fair trade, but where was West Coast's "responsibility" to trade Mitch Brown back to a Melbourne team when he wanted out? Or Sydney with ROK and so on and so forth?

Worth remembering Freo don't have a 2nd round pick this year, it'll take their first or a multi-way deal which sends a load of academy bidding points Western Sydney's way. Would get something back if it takes a first rounder

If he was coming to the pies they'd expect us to part with 2 first rounders.

They really aren't congruent at all though. Has Mitch Brown quit the club and gone and played in the VFL? Actually, I think he has said publicly how much he loves the club since asking for the trade. He wanted more opportunity and he was given it.

McCarthy cited home sickness and his declining mental health has quite clearly demonstrated how poorly he is coping at GWS.

Not how I would have worded it but pretty much this.
if he legit has depression or mental illness then i feel bad for him. but it just comes across as him having a sook for not getting what he wants
