Good chance he will be our first Norm Smith Medallist.
He's going alright this year .

Calling him a spud is a truly ridiculous comment. He was actually one of the better mids in the finals last year, if you watch football with your eyes open The anti D. Pearce mob never let the truth get in the way of a good rant. I would have signed him for one year max as I want us to rebuild, but geez the anti D.Pearce mob say some truly absurd things. For the record the he has been sixth overall in best and fairest votes in the last two years.

Ok then he's a gun who keeps missing targets :drunk:

Rubbish. Geez his disposal efficiency matches up against Hill's last year. Im not even saying he is a gun. Im just saying he is not terrible that is all. Id much rather D>Pearce with ball in hand than Barlow, Spurr, Gu, De Boer and plenty others that is for sure. It is pretty absurd that you can't say a player who hasn't been dropped and is rated highly by coaches is above terrible on here. The above is another strange post from the anti Peacre mob.

DPearce has actually been pretty good this year. But at his age, I still think it really should have been a 1 yr contract. The end can come quickly when you're 30+
Agreed. I would have preferred we signed him for one year.

Ha ha ha! I was taking the piss

Obviously he's not a gun. Thought you could read between the lines. Obviously not

Yep, probably got the fact you were implying he was terrible and you were being sarcastic. That is what I was responding too. I thought that was clear. My comment about me saying 'Im not even saying he is a gun' was to clarify that Im not saying he is a star player, but definitely a decent player. Again, I thought that was incredibly clear as well.

At the end of the day when other teams deliver the ball into the forward line better than Freo. Freo will struggle to win games and he is ine if the main culprits. So enjoy watching him continue to do that.

Compared to the stats behind how the 2016 versions of Barlow, Neale, Hill and many others he is actually far from one of the main culprits. Like I said all Im saying is he is decent. The reaction you get on here for saying a player who has never been dropped since coming to our side and has finished relatively highly in our best and fairest (in years we played finals) is just absurd. So yep Ill enjoy watching D.Pearce. He is actually one of the few players who seems to be turning their form around in recent weeks.

He's had a few ok games this season but that doesn't make up for some very ordinary games on previous years.

We have a coach whose mantra is that things are never as good as they seem and never as bad as they seem, but this attitude has clearly not made it this far.
If we dropped every player who turned it over frequently this year we'd have about 3 players left, plus a bunch of rookies who don't get enough possessions for anyone to notice.
Nobody is saying Danyle is going to win a Brownlow, but as an outside player that we desperately needed and we picked up for a steal, he's pretty good. He's pacy, has good evasive skills and a long kick. He's not great at hitting targets - but then at least he can find the ball, unlike plenty of outside players.

He always going to be a debate topic like Mayne , I think the criticisms he get is valid , if he dropped from 26 last week to 13 touch agaist hawthorn then he is an inconsistent player. That will average 18-20 touch a season with high possession in certain match and low in some other matches. But with balic out the whole season we might need his service next season anywhere.

Your view on his 16 possession game yesterday?

He is a choker come finals, its a proven fact!

You need players who can win finals, not play half decently during the H&A season.
