Just saw the sensationalised ad

It will be healthy for the football world if this goes down mellow and anti-climax if you will. I wouldn't be surprised if Archer has talked to Carey just to settle everything that needs to be settled before they discuss things on a public forum.

Not what the footy show is planning.

The ad has the deep voice over:

CAREY (picture of Wayne)

DA DUM

ARCHER (picture of Arch)

DA DUM

THE SCANDAL

THEY FACE OFF TOMORROW NIGHT (picture of flinch in the Crows game)

ONLY.....ON THE FOOTY SHOW.

This was brought up a while ago, it was going to be the Carey - Stevo face off with the payment to a cancer (? i think) victim who needs funds for treatment all organised by...guess who....Archie, who has apparently had discussions with the Duck about this. So i am sure there won't be any fireworks unless it is pre arranged :D

As I said, hopefully an anti-climax. Of course the Footy Show will sensationalize their advertising, does that mean there will be fireworks? Possibly not.

Have it on very good authority that they talk at least twice a week and have been for a long time. Good on Arch making some money for that little boy. I think that once everyone see them publicly then all the crap about this will die down.

Damn Channel 9 it means I have to watch that ********ing show again!!

The show is also about the plight of a very sick child, not just the public reunion of Glenn and Wayne.

The cause is a good one but the short notice, the advertising and forum just lack so much class.

The only upside could end up being where the money is going. The rest of it just sounds tacky. It's hardly a rivalry built in the sporting arena, it was off-field and pretty damn personal for the parties who were left in Melbourne.

Will reserve final judgement until after the fact (naturally) but geeze for such a big deal (which really shouldn't be played out on camera if it's anything like what they are hyping) to be suddenly jammed into the Footy Show 2 days prior seems poor.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, Mark. I made the comment at work today; 'It looks like I'll have to suffer The Footy Show tonight.'

I think I'll just read about it on here.

Colby said on his SEN show that Arch was raising money from a young kid with cerebral palsy. Hird remarked that no one in the AFL had done more charity work than Arch. Says a lot about our #11

I hope that the cuase of all of this is not lost and Eddie gets his mates (the crazy Johns of this world) to dig deep for the little bloke. As a dad of 2 it is one thing to admire the blokes courage on a footy field it is another to admire the fact that he is a genuine champion bloke.

We don't get the Footy Show until after mid-night in Canberra, but last night, I woke shortly after 1, turned on the tele just as Archer was walking through the door. Once the interview was over I turned off the tele and hit the pillow in a coma. Still had to listen to the two idiots (Eddie & that Geelong Git - I can never remember his name) during the interview, but didn't see a second of any of the other crap. It was perfect timing.

Good on Carey & Arch.. should raise quite a bit of money for Mare-Nepe.

Arch looked pretty dark during the interview- cept when listenin to Mare-Nepe.. but he done alright.

Carey looked alot more comfortable.
