My wife took our oldest (11) and he was beside himself. Signatures galore, photos etc. Came home saying these are the best school holidays he has ever had and we are only day 3!
My wife was saying it was crazy for the playing group. They were 2nd session so the playing group would have done it all only a few hours earlier for 2.5 hrs odd. But credit to them were her observations given the weather and it turning into just a photo and signature fest. The Curnow's were BOG apparrently, just next level with the kids, they both genuinely loved it. Other 'senior' members of the playing group doing just what was required and gave nothing more which was a tad disappointing to hear.
Great way none the less to lock in 2030/40's revenue streams early.

Yep and to make it worse the full version (including player reactions)

Great vid, loved the passion and the emotion in the dad’s voice and what it meant to him and his son.

Sport is definitely more than a game.

nice to hear - probably worthwhile remembering not all players of sport are outgoing, extroverted types - plenty are going to be sensitive, quiet types whose idea of hell is one of these things with the kids - sure they get paid well and it isn't considered a massive burden but some people are just better than others at socialising and extending themselves beyond what is comfortable - that's not disappointing, that's humanity..........

Totally, and would expect that of most the group to a certain extent. No different to your social circle, work environment etc, extroverts are the minority, introverts also and everyone somewhere in between. I don't really give a sh*t to be honest re personality types and their varying degrees of gregariousness per se esp in a professional sporting capacity. They are paid to win games of footy ( that's a seperate post / issue!) But when you are the leader and an ex leader of the club, sorry mate that's part of your job description. Like it or not. In that capacity you are an extension of the club.
