Robbie Williams – no stranger to the big day in September – was deadly serious about showing up in Melbourne on Saturday and performing at the game. That would only happen if the Carlton footy club, to whom the ex-Take That star has taken a shine, made it through to the decider.
Same

Robbie might think DeKoning's in the air, but...

I'm loving Acres instead.
He touched the ball
He offers goal line protection
A finger and hair deflection
ARC is always right, not wrong

So impressive. It seems that he’s evolving as a coach right in front of us.
I'm sure he's learning on the go like all coaches, but we have some pretty savvy backroom operators who would realise mid-season the honeymoon period for him in a number supporters eyes was waning.... so got the media team to start selectively orchestrating and delivering some targeted media to improve his profile, which was aided by a decent winning streak.

how do you think he has 'evolved'?
The connection piece with this specific team. There’s a strong bond he’s building with them. I just feel like it’s his group. There’s something very organic about it. It doesn’t feel forced. I think he’s building that same connection with the club now.

I get where you are coming from -

To me it reads straight of any manager of people play book. He knows that the game is littered with examples of teams that get to X and think they have achieved because it is higher than previously attained - but he wants them to understand they are in a a competitive game and no teams stand still ..

listen to his message - "it starts again from zero" get hungry stop being hurt......

in formal debating scoring is usually broken down into matter/method and manner- 40:40:20 split

his matter was - enjoy teh break come back for day 1 where we start again from zero : his method was : well done I know you must be thinking it could have been us : his manner was stop hurting start being hungry - a euphemism for mongrel up.

anyway that is my take same lines Ive heard said to me - same lines or similar I use to get my troops motivated every quarter.

People underestimate Vossy. He has turned a collective bunch of NQR's into a decent competitive team - it is just the start.

Peopel thatthink that a BBQ at Ed's and a heart to heart talk between players and a 'simplified' game plan or a more attacking game plan ...anything except the reality that AFL is very competitive and nio opposition lies down to lose...

we lost a bunch og games with really poor kicking - the stats all show it..the turnaround was a freakish 9 goal quarter that saved the season and players willing to believe that they could win games...

that doesn't happen easily when you have a history of losing...

Coaches did a fantastic job with this bunch.= - no accident and they arent finished.
