It's a real credit to him the amount of games he played this year. Probably started behind Gov, Plowman, Marchbank as a 3rd tall option and Young, Durdin, Marchbank as a 2nd tall option. Shows all the boys that if you consistently dominate the 2nds, you will get a go eventually and he took his chance even though he had to player taller than he might have liked.

Also, a credit to the club for leaving him in his best position even though there was no clear pathway into the side. In years gone by we would have thrown him around to give me more avenues but it wouldn't have been best for his long-term development.

Well yeah, exactly why we got Fantasia to the club.

Durdin will be in his 4th season next year and will turn 22 just after it starts. He needs to show he can do way more than just chase and harass on a regular basis. He needs to get near the ball more often and start winning more one on ones. He is averaging under a goal per game which should be an average benchmark for a small forward. He is deadset quick so he is the one we need to come on more than anybody.

Motlop will be in his 3rd season but will spend the whole of next season as a 20 year old. He is averaging more than a goal per game so is on course. Gibbs is correct in that Motlop does not have a whole lot of pace, so he's going to get by on instinct and skill.

Owies turns 27 at the start of next year and it will be his 6th season at the club. Averages a goal per game which is good. He does win one on ones. He's not your quick, roving type though. Whether this makes him unnecessary or a point of difference will depend on how the others go. Slowest of the 3 small forwards.

JSOS on Dyl & Friends is bloody good listening, didn’t think it possible but after hearing JSOS throughout the podcast I like him even more.

Like the time Jack called Norf shit, Norf supporters lost their shit and JHF ended up agreeing with Jack.

Just watched the McGovern chat in full, he said he was “definitely in vossy’s ear” in his exit interview about potentially returning to the forward line. Please make this happen 🥵🥵🥵.

Maybe he's exhausted from this playing a whole season thing? If he goes back to the forward line he probably does hamstring by round 3 then gets the rest of the year off. 🤣🤣
