pokie machines have to return around 85-90 cents in the dollar spent to consumers and then there's costs of licences, venue estasblishment, wages etc.

still it's one of the most intensely profitable business models in the world and involves a lot of fairly predatory practice to get people into a venue.
Another way to write that is that pokie machines take 10-15% of money put in on average. This is guaranteed revenue and there is no risk for the owner at all.

Nice ..
So you won a B&F or two yourself ?
I wish!

Was very, very average at both while I was there. The footy club was building up a good development culture just as I left after U16's, and the cricket club wasn't much chop for juniors, leaving it to too few to really put in.

It's a bit of a weird cauldron down there. By the time you're playing 16's, everyone knows everyone else. You're playing against blokes you know from school or because you've played against them every year from 10's on. I had blokes who'd sigh when they got me - as the dour back pocket I was for most of my career, before I became a midfield tagger - because they knew they weren't getting much space, and then mids who I got to know pretty well because I'd get stuck with them every time we played and there's not all that much point in exchanging hostilities.

Nuff about me now, though! Back to Weiters!

My name's on the wall somewhere in that building in a few places.

My name was also on the wall inside princes park once upon a time.

So was many of you also I would think.

Shame it’s not anymore.

Mates who barracked for other clubs who I got on that wall disagree.

I was able to write my name on the old pisser out the back of the Gardiner stand after a few sherbets.

Nic Newman: “Harry Lemmey has come back in really good nick.(….) some of those in their third or fourth year have started to impress me.”

Carlton supporters: “Harry Lemmey is one who is in trouble next year.”

If Lemmey has taken his running up a level it will really help his game.

Much more a lead and mark type. If he can work over bigger defenders then he'll be a real headache as he is so tall that smaller guys will struggle to compete aerially

It’s fantastic, isn’t it? :D

We were always a lot likelier to get Cooper Lord of the two, since he was a Mid-season rookie draft selection ( even then we needed luck, as he was Pick. 9). We were simply never in the draft range for Jagger Smith all year… until Austin changed that. What a gun of a list manager we have.
