The fact is, the streets of Melbourne aren't a safe place at 5am.

We can't tuck them into bed at 11am each night. Nevertheless, 2 players put themselves in a situation.

I'd expect Mick to field questions in light of the Mitch revelation, or there's a double standard against Jeffy. He wasn't pleased the other day and would be doubly disappointed at Robinson's deceit.

You can't compare your own experiences with a professional footballer. They attract dickheads like flies.
You'd need a very thick skin to avoid pulling a Simon White. I'm surprised that kind of thing doesn't happen more often

So everyone outside the club is guilty until proven innocent. And everyone inside the club is innocent until proven guilty.

Sounds about right... /sarcasm

You've got no idea about what Simon White did. None at all. You're aren't one of those people that thinks the victim is pretending to be a Carlton supporter, are you? Because just like them, you'd be wrong too.

Let's not give our guys the benefit of the doubt because they wear our beloved guernsey. Instead, let's hold them even more accountable.

I think people shouldn't project their own personal experiences onto stories about footballers, because the circumstances could be completely different & the life of a footballer is completely different.
Likewise you shouldn't project opinions onto what I type in order to try to start up an argument on the net.

I just used 'pulling a Simon White' as a euphemism for punching someone. Wasn't trying to editorialise about what he did

Seems the excitement is infectious even to the most stringent Carlton haters:

By the way / what a nonstory. And why the need to add Robbo and Jeffy in? Daisy did nothing wrong at all.

Yeah, it just goes to show the spotlight that hovers over these guys! ... I'm tipping they enjoyed being able to write about bikies though - sells papers (or digital subscriptions).

I agree that it's a complete non-story Aph, but listening to what the manager has to say about it is a bit like listening to Scott Morrison talk about asylum seekers (on the rare occasion that they reveal anything at all). Though I guess Morrison in some ways tries to blow up the issue -- says what works for him, is all I mean!!

Judd, Gibbs confirm family ties

Their No.4 and 5 lockers are only once removed - but Bryce Gibbs and Chris Judd have more than one reason to call each other “Cuz”.
You see, the two Carlton champions just happen to be related, as third cousins twice removed.

It’s a little known fact - previously declared by the Seven Network commentator Dennis Cometti at a time when Cometti’s interest in his own family history was triggered by his appearance in the SBS program Who Do You Think You Are - that the two Carlton champions are kindred spirits.
And the link can be sourced through the lineages of Bryce’s mother Julie and Chris’s father Andrew to an auld English gent named Christopher Howlett senior, born in the South Norfolk village of Bawburgh in 1830.
