I think people shouldn't project their own personal experiences onto stories about footballers, because the circumstances could be completely different & the life of a footballer is completely different.
Likewise you shouldn't project opinions onto what I type in order to try to start up an argument on the net.

I agree that it's a complete non-story Aph, but listening to what the manager has to say about it is a bit like listening to Scott Morrison talk about asylum seekers (on the rare occasion that they reveal anything at all).
