His hands are so clean, he's got good burst off the mark and has nice skills. Hopefully this is his year.
I hope and I hope but geez we've said this before. But I would give him 22 games to show it and more midfield minutes.....(unless his form is so shit you can't pick him of course)

Positives: Williams, Pittonet, JSOS, Fisher, Walsh third term, Setterfield, Murphy forward, Dow, LOB 11 touches in a half, mcdonald worth a shot?

Negatives: Docherty, Plowman, Cripps no impact, injuries, back 6 letting multiple numbers out the back, Moore missed his shot but was probably behind McDonald to start with.

What does Teague have against using the Corridor? The AFL produce a set of rules that reward fast free flowing play on footy and Teague still has our boys chip kick it and using the wings. Brad Hill streamed through the Corridor more times that our entire team tonight. You gotta feel for our speedy players like Martin, Williams and Saad, totally ineffectual in that type of game style.

They don't have their best 22. But all their structures are fine.

We lack our best 22 and our structures are f’ed.

In a high scoring match where they had all the umpiring to lose by 4 goals puts us in good stead.

Yeah, the only position they're genuinely impacted is the ruck with Marshall and Ryder out.

Other than that it's just a couple of interchangeable runners like Jones and Long, and old man Geary.

We're playing without any of our key forwards, first choice ruck, backup ruck, experienced small forward, and half a game without our CHB.

That being said, I reckon the Saints took their foot off the pedal and let us back in.

You reckon when we have some good play their supporters say 'geez they beat our perfect structures' or say 'our structures are terrible'?

Tackles inside 50 - 15 to 5 our way. Huge positive.

McDonald has to get our last list spot based on this game.

Zac Williams is a gun and Adam Saad just changes the way we play.

Fisher is at his absolute best.

JSOS must play every week.

Walsh is a gun.

Murph's new role suits our game nicely.

Setters is awesome.

Jack Martin needs to do more.

Lochie O'Brien really good in the time he played. I think the MC sees him outside the 22 but he should be competing with Cunners and Martin for a bench spot.

Gibbons didn't get on the ground again. Reckon he is seen as a walk up start by the coach. Competing with Fogarty for a small mid spot and I thought Fog came into the game but Gibbons offers more at this stage.

Dow looking good again. Has earned himself a round 1 start.

fu** off Higgins.

Much as I hate that it's part of the game now, maybe we need a specialist coach to teach our players how to draw bullshit high contact frees.

Cripps was in a head lock and didn’t get a free, it’s a raffle that we seem to be on the shit end of the stick far too often.
I put it down to “not a good team yet to deserve it” syndrome the umpires fall for

Dow's handballing was my highlight. In fact his skills in general were pretty good which is a serious improvement on previous years.

Cuningham and O'Brien good impact.

Except for that weak as piss marking attempt in the goal square O’Brien was good.

Cuningham has it, I just wish it would click with him how good he could be. Definitely above the shoulders with him

If that is sustainable it's a style that will benefit so many of our players.

We've got some genuine slashers in Saad and Williams, we've got some endurance beasts who will shine late in quarters, and we've got a couple of the best contested marking forwards in the game who have NEVER seen quick forward entries.

Few defensive tweaks and I'm damn near excited to watch football again.
