In light of the signing Mclean and possibly Bradshaw and Rischitelli, who would make a team of Carlton retreads?

It wouldn't hurt if they debuted at another club before joining Carlton.

B: Matty Hogg - ?????? - Glen Manton
HB: Lappin - Val Perovic - Jim Francis
C: David Rhys-Jones - Greg Williams - Justin Murphy
HF: Adrian Hickmott - Earl Spalding - Dean Rice
F: Brent Heaver - Brad Pearce -
R: Justin Madden - Ron Barassi - Judd

I/C: Jack Wells - Nick Stevens - ?????? - ??????

Coach: David Parkin

The following are two great articles on players who joined the Blues after playing for other clubs.

Despised to blue; part one

Despised to blue; part two

Murphy, Rice and Hickmott are three of my favourite players of all time.

Get Rod Galt into the pocket (he did win the goalkicking one year),

Glen Hawker, Bill Barrot, Peter Bedford and Peter McKenna on the bench.
(All of them won Best & Fairests at previous)

Just can't find any space, or love, for big Stephen Easton.

Trying to get Kevin 'Joe' Heath in there, for his ripper 'stache

......and where in the heck is Mario Bortolotto?

Glen Hawker - Shocking!!
Peter McKenna - Poor when he came over

does carrazzo count? geelong rookie or somesuch...

matt clape gave us not much more than pearce.

ricky mott - our very tall and slow waterboy.

-------

heaver was pretty good in his time, how many did he kick in '93?. manton held our back half together at various times.

Matt Clape was good in 95 only!

Heaver had his moments...but overall yuck!

Sexton, Dean, Silvagni, Mckay held our backline together at various times not Manton. Only thing he was know for was the bolt....

manton came into his own after the likes of dean, sexton had retired. was not as good as those obviously, but pretty damn handy.
also reminds me, did we not recruit ben sexton from the dogs?

Manton started with the blues in 1995....he played in 95 granny.

We did get Ben Sexton!! does it ever end...

I love being to able spot a troll and a muppet in one post. :thumbsu:

Hogg played for Victoria.

Manton owned Lloyd. :)

Murphy played 115 games.

Represented us in finals and a Grand Final.

Parkin rated Justin Murphy as one of the best kicks at Carlton.
Barnaby French always gave us 150%.

Just a shame we didn't get more years/games out of him.
I was worried for a minute...

I expected you to name Corey McKernan.

French was a warrior. :thumbsu:

Our worst 22 retreads would come from the last seven seasons.
