According to a director at the time the vote to relocate was supposed to go through that week. It didn't by a narrow margin and in that next few days we formed WANM. I managed to get WANM a major Hun story on back page and the supporter revolt began. Apparently Vlad walked in to a group of directors (not sure whether at NM or AFL house) held the page up to them and said something like 'if you had of passed this last week these c*^ts would not have existed'. Thats roughly my recall from what the late, great Robbie Smith told me at the time.

That's a great story. It's little tidbits of lore like that which help paint the canvas of our history.

Comes with baggage but he's a pretty successful person too.

If it turned in that direction, Sonja currently seems to be in supersonic mode so if she (and the committee) felt he ticked enough boxes and passed any moral/ethical judgement tests then it would be pigheaded not to look at a potentially outstanding candidate.

Whilst I detest what he did/almost did to our club, we i) were a rabble under that management and ii) he was acting in the interests, albeit too clinically, of his employer at the time.

As it stands though there's nothing to say we're interested in him being being our next CEO.

I do trust Sonja's direction, its just the acquire learning and crown dumspter fires that he was associated with that make me question his ability. But i dont know his level of responsibility with those things, just what the papers have said.

No ultimate success but he gave the Saints a genuine window to challenge through. Scotts who gets talked up in the media couldn't ever manage that. We almost had a window, but never made it to that level.

Soz guys, will amend the post to make it clear its an old article, I dont know WHY THE HELL foxsports puts todays date on old articles, its the same thing that happened recently with Fabian Francis when people posted an old article, there are still people who believe he is due to go to jail now,rather than 2012.
