Even as an advisor though I do like the club's trend of burying the hatchet and moving on with life (e.g. Barrett). No point holding grudges.

Maybe it's the chance for Demetriou to redeem himself as stated. Show his kids where his roots are, and ply his trade towards a goal that really means something more than a god damn pokies outfit.

I'm against us hiring him, and personally I think he's not even on the radar. But there is every chance he would be a very good counterweight to Clarko. There is a certain appeal if we can get past various parts of his history, both decades old and very recent. However it was just a reputation management puff piece for him I suspect. FFS the article itself said we were tight-lipped about the search, yet Andy D giving advice makes the media?

Maybe we're following the * approach; president brings in someone to advise on who to appoint as CEO, then have the president appoint the advisor as CEO, then have the president fire them a day later for something scandalous that doesn't align with club values.
Demetriou sounds perfect.
