There is every chance, Luko Rozee and Rankine go in the top 4. We may not get any of the three SA guns we are selling the farm for.

100% this is ridiculous, if we give up Wingard and pick 6 we absolute should be getting two top 5 picks as well as Burton.

By the end of the trade period we should be holding 3, 6, 10 and Burton with what we have given up. At this point in time we are looking down the barrel of a catastrophic trade period.
Yep - 3, 6, 10 and Burton and I'm feeling a bit better about it all.

It looks like it will be a case of:

Out: Wingard, Polec, Pittard, pick 23, pick 30, pick 48, pick 50
for
In: Pick 5 (Rankine or Rozee or Smith), Burton, Pick 15

Just process that.

Let's say Wingard for Rozee - loss
Polec for Burton - maybe break even, probably loss
Pittard, pick 23, pick 30, pick 48, pick 50 for pick 15 - massive loss

What the hell have we done??????
What happened to 10?

Where is everyone getting these hypothetical trades from, I haven't heard anything since pick 15 and burton. Which as an initial offer seemed our most balanced trade of the period so far.

4-5 pages back an article from the Age was linked with the info.

imo, the best scenario we can hope for is Burton + 15, then trade Amon and Hombsch for about pick 60 odd each, and then with those two 60+ picks we can then package them up and shove them up Ken Hinkleys ass.

The most suspect part for me is that most of the players involved in it are managed by the same person from what I can gather. Something not right there.
Wingard isn't managed by Craig Kelly's TLA but Tom Petroro's Stride Sports.

If TLA had all 8 players it would make sense for them to be pro active and try and knock something into shape. They keep all their clients happy and probably wouldn't rip off more than 1 club out of 8.

We already had pick 11.

We upgraded 11 to 10. Wowee!
No we had 10 and the 11 we got from Polec+ Pittard trade, we gave up 4 picks to get 6 + their 2019 3rd round pick.

I can only assume having a "good off season" which turned into a poor season has scared us. Gotta make sure that doesn't happen again. Surely poor off season equals good season. Right? Right?

Sometimes. Getting rid of good players isn't always a bad move. It can force the needed culture change. But it can just as easily mean the opposite. At least a poor off-season needn't be all doom and gloom. And if the trade period ends with us having 3 first-rounders it could still work for us.
