He has to go, he lowered his colours badly today. His softness is embarrassing.

Feel free to comment on selections, etc., but when you call a player soft you invite examination your way. As was stated earlier this week, all AFL players are tough.

What standard did you play sport?

Just have a look, he is scared of the contest. He is undoubtedly a highly skilled player and good athlete but he is soft.

He will likely end up playing 200 games of footy. There is no way he is soft.

Once again, where did you play tough guy?

Wow he plays 200 games what’s your point?

Merely playing AFL football doesn’t make you a tough player. As the number one traits they look for are athleticism and talent. Go down to any local game on Saturday and you could easily find 20 plus blokes harder than him.

Poulter isn’t a spud but he ain’t AFL standard neither is McCrae

Elliott only change for McInnes

I don't know what you're on about. Both are second year players who, if given the chance, would step up. Not everyone is a Nick Daicos. Let's take a look at the statistics in the VFL today.

  • Macrae 25 disposals, Poulter 23 (most)
  • Both were influential
  • Macrae had four clearances
  • Some powerful passages of play
You have to stop judging them to the standards of Petracca, Brayshaw et al and judge them as the players that they are. They'd go alright at the top level. Did Dane Swan star in his second year? No. Not even in his third, really. Has every Collingwood star or Copeland winner burst onto the scene at 20? No. Have a lot of AFL players developed at 21, 22, 23 even? Yes. Sometimes just throwing them in the deep end is worth it.
