Haha yes you are correct.

I did a poor job explaining that my increasing awareness of my ignorance is the inverse of the commonly referred-to aspect of the Dunning-Kruger effect; that those who are ignorant are generally unaware of their own ignorance.

But as you say, it is a progression in line with knowledge acquisition towards eventually becoming expert.

He thought his own poo didn't stink which is strange for a bloke portraying himself as the man of the people who came from the life of hard knocks, battling alcoholism and other addictions. I still love some of his poetry but he turned out to be another w***er with a huge ego.
