It's going to be a long two weeks, so I think we need some random posts and videos

The many hairdos (or don'ts) of Josh Bruce

There are some absolute shockers there. His current look is probably the best.

The guy who worries me is Petracca. Bont on Speed. Can't see a natural match for him to be locked down. Thoughts?

Dunkley should tag Petracca.

Have Macrae go head to head with Oliver. That'll be a cracking match up.

Libba v Viney can belt the living suitcase out of each other.

I think you'll get the Dees on the outside. You've got a better spread than them with Smith, Hunter and Treloar.

Bont playing just 73% is interesting. Freshening him up or would that be close to his usual?
He sat out a large portion of the last quarter because the contest was over. That's why Martin was rested alot too.

If you listen to Chris Grant on radio yesterday, he said Martin had put his hand up to play and he was "cherry ripe"

Sounds like he could have played more they just didn't need him to.

Big effort needed against Gawn

I’m surprised the odds are $1.64 to $2.24 with Dees favourites.

Thought it would be more like $1.80/$2 in Dees favour.

What were the odds before the 2016 GF? Sydney we’re favourites weren’t they? I don’t remember feeling like we were underdogs in 2016.

In 2016 Sydney were $1.60 fav. Dogs were about $2.40. So it doesn't matter who the fav is on the day. I would rather be the under dog any way.

I agree. The 1.64/2.24 would be about right if we played on Saturday given how much extra petrol we've spent.

Reckon the market hasn't factored in how much benefit we'll derive from the week off.

Melbourne deserve slight favoritism, but I'd say the 2 teams are even enough that the winner will be whoever handles the day best.

I like our chances.

I would like this post ten times more if I could. Martin is almost our most important player currently.

Wood is a great match up for Fritsch.

Easton is in awesome form too.

Duryea for Pickett.

I’m very comfy with those. I think we match up well and will get the job done.

I'd be looking at Williams for Fritsch he has a bit of zip that Woody doesn't have anymore. Doc a lock for Pickett

Despite the Charlie Cameron experience I think that Easton has BW covered for straight line speed.

I suggest you watch Bailey rebounding from half back and Wood is 32 with a number of soft tissue injuries which have slowed him down

No one is a bigger fan than BW than me (see my series of posts on his thread) but he's not as quick as Easton Wood. Even at 32 he'd be in the top 5 player on our list in sprints.

I think Easton settled into a real good role from the 2nd quarter v. Brissy on as the 3rd tall leaping into traffic to break up ball. I'd much rather have him matched up to Fritsch and release Bailey Williams to side step way out of defence.

He can take McDonald. McDonald is better suited as their link man up the ground. He’s not often left 1 on 1 in the forward 50 in comparison to Fritsch who’s probably their main target down there with Brown.
I reckon that's a potential weakness. McDonald has taken double the contested marks that Fritsch has this year and Bailey is giving him 8 cm and 14 kg
