Easton Wood has has a brilliant finals series. He used to be pigeonholed as an intercept marker, despite the fact he’s been around forever I hadn’t realised what a zippy lockdown defender he is.

Again...on behalf of all Crows supporters....thank you for humiliating the filth from Alberton. Your wholesale destruction of the most over-rated team in the league, on their home deck and in what they were referring to as their "unlosable" final, was just a thing of pure beauty. Now if you can just knock over the Dees, and prevent Jake "The Rat" Lever from getting a premiership, that would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect Vandermeer gets up for the game, he was subbed out with tightness rather than a tear. His defensive work is underrated, leads the competition for repeat sprints.
Scott is unlucky and is named as an emergency, Vandermeer is named as medical sub and Weightman is named in the starting 22.
Cordy for Keath is an obvious one. Keath and Gardner have been selected ahead of other KPDs any time they've been available to play. We tried 3 KPDs late in the season but it robbed us of rebound a little.

AFL bastards robbed Grant of the Brownlow, the doggies are now free from desire!

Chris a champion on an off the field. Carey a champion on the field and Lyon was a very good player but off the field their low acts one with team mates wife and the other with his best mate wife tarnishes both of them and I would not want either them presenting the cup to my team.

Injury update sounds like VDM is at no concern of missing the GF due to unavailability and should be back into full training at the end of this week.

I still think he will be the unlucky one to make way for Cody and it’ll be decided out of VDM, Scott & Richards for sub. I think Bevo will go for Scott due to the added flexibility.

If you think Roarke should be an out youre watching a different finals series to me.

Would love to see Mitch come in as the sub.

Roarke has been excellent. JJ and Schache super last game in particular. All three have surprised the hell out of me. We have an outstanding motivational coach that just gets the best out of these blokes.

This makes it a very tough decision. VDM makes our forward line better and creates so much pressure with his ferocity, but I don't trust him with ball in hand in critical moments. The other option to make way for Cody is Roarke, but that would be a tough call.

JJ brought too much pace, zip and pressure to leave out based on the Port game.

JJ and VDM have to stay in if fit and Cody also needs to play. But I've liked Roarke on the wing and think he's important to the structure. It's a shit position to be in and I don't know who makes way for Cody, at least Keath is down to either Cordy or Gardner.

After seeing the image was posted showing how much time each player spent in a given position this finals series, I feel like roarke has to stay in. Seems as though he is Bevo’s preferred wingman, along with Hunter.

JJ won’t get dropped, so I imagine Vandameer is out for Weightman.

Think VDMs hamstring is too much of a risk. Bevo said it was about to blow (or similar). I don't want to get a quarter out of him before he is subbed. Especially with Keath and Martin that have recent soft tissue injuries.

Spewing.

Just my 2c.

Watched the preliminary final again today. Some observations.

Vandermeer had a pretty good game. His pressure off the ball was excellent. Was cooked by 3/4 time though and taken off. Wonder if the tight hamstring was an excuse to replace him, it's possible.
Roarke was ok but nothing special, does some hard running but did not have much influence around the ball. Can lock down though.
Scott was very good after coming on, puts his body on the line
JJ was good, couldn't have done much more.

I think Bevo wants some pace in the side to match the Demons wingers.

I think the changes based on the replay will be.

Out: Cordy, Scott.
in: Weightman, Keith
medical sub. JJ

wouldn't surprise if VDM only plays three quarters and JJ replaces him for the last quarter.

Bevo selections given up a long time ago but Bevo has proven he is a master will become our greatest coach if he is already not there. I would leave out Roarke and line ball Cordy or Gardner and bring in Cody and Keath. The medical sub would then be Roarke or Cordy/Gardner. I do not think I have got a Bevo selection right in any round this season.

Vdm execution worries me. Swap for cody. JJ and Josh lifted big time against PA, loved there contribution. I think Keith for cordy. But I'm not paid to make those decisions so it wouldn't surprise me if someone stays / goes that doesn't make sense to me although from a strategic point of view does to bevo. Just hoping like hell Martin doesn't hurt himself in training.

JJ has to be starting 22 for mine. A great prelim and former Norm Smith medalist. I reckon he will play very well again.
In - Keath, Weightman.
Out - Cordy, VDM.
VDM sub. If fit his speed and pressure could be a weapon coming on later in game. Cordy very unlucky played well and another guy who has been there before and did a great job forward in 2016.
Left field Cordy sub instead of VDM. Imagine losing Keath to hamstring in first qtr or another tall.

Yea losing Keith first qtr would be a nightmare, so the emergency sub would need to cater for that, anyone who's strained their hamstring knows it feels like it could go anytime.
