I've been critical of him in the past but I just want to give a massive shout out to Lachie Hunter. He probs wont even finish Top 5 in the Sutton this year but I reckon he's had a much better year than when he won it in 2018.

He's been hard as nails, fearless and much more direct rather than the chip, chip back and forth that was so prominent in his game.

Goals and Assists combined:

2018: 12
2019: 14
2020: 8
2021: 30!!!

Taking the Bulldogs structure into consideration, I believe the addition of Martin outweighs the loss of Keath.

Makes things happen on the wing for us. I consider him the connector.

Naughton to swing back? Schache will need to pull a Peter Wright.

Give him the silver service that Wright had he will. Schache is a good finisher he gets the time and space Wright had he will have a monster. Unlikely too get that in a final though.
His ability to get a result could be a factor

When you add Port’a dangerous smalls into the mix, the only way we can win this game is by dominating the midfield and starving them of opportunities. We do have Schache to throw back to give us some extra height if needed, he could cover Ladhams or Marshall.

I was very upset when none of them ran out for our 2021 Preliminary Final.
