If we beat the Hawks I'll believe we are a genuine chance for the eight. They have had it over us for decades and with their ins as well as being on the rebound from a bad loss I feel that pattern is going to continue. I was more confident about beating the Blues than I am about knocking off the Hawks.

It's a strange one. You knew what you'd get from Carlton and they delivered on it. In turn we were able to match it and should have won by 5-6 goals.

With the Hawks, you literally have NFI if the very good or very bad will show up.

Big test for the coaches this week to have the lads up for it from the first bounce. No resting on out laurels this week. We owe these campaigners a touch up.

The Hawks best is very good. Beat Lions Cats etc. nearly beat Carlton, lost to Dees by 10

If our tackling pressure is off they could really slice us open with their defensive rebound

If Chugg was debuting wouldn’t have it been announced by our media team already with an accompanying video of his teammates clapping?

In saying given the selection patterns this year this seams spot on. I’d prefer Chugg over Tyler atm though.

There was something like 8 senior listed players ran out against Werribee. We have to name 4x emergencies so including one of the only 2 of those players to get coaches votes seems a no brainer. Assume he’d be 4th preference. Not sure why it’s an issue.

Finally some common sense in the changes. Tyler Brown must never play another AFL game until he can dominate a bunch of vfl games in a row, if that never happens so be it.

Good change.Tyler needed a break after some lack lustre performances.I think we’re almost at full strength now, minus Grundy and Kreuger.

Nothing like going over the top.

T Brown being gone is all I care about

Chrispiesssss made the solid point that we tend to ‘carry one’ each week and Tyler has had his 7 senior games this year

Time to give others a go
Looking forward to McCreery getting more than 10 disposals.

He’s not far wrong though.

Tyler has to go back and show some further development. He’s in a pack now that includes Macrae,McInnes, Poulter, his brother and now Carmichael. He’ll need to separate himself from that pack to earn his next shot.

Absolutely. He’s been dropped and has to earn his place back.

I agree McReery is very inconsistent… but roles wise you are comparing apples (midfield) with pears (forwards)

Which role is more valuable? A pressure forward or a pressure mid ? Both average around 7-8 touches a game
We will see I guess. Personally I don’t like Elliott going into the midfield because I worry about him getting broken again.
With TB out they might play him in there more.

I just want to win and will support whoever is in the side.

I do think TB has more to give.
