Out: DeGoey
In: Carmichael.

Out: Ginnivan…. Zero pace. Zero pressure. Zero Insenity.
No chance does he deserve to keep his spot ahead of Harrison.
In: Elliot.

Out: McCreery (if injured).
In: Markov.

Ginnivan credited with 19 PAs, = 5th or 6th for the team…. just saying.

McRae says that Beau is the worst of the injuries and will have scans. Touch and go for next week.

Hosk, low grade ankle and should be ok.

AJ all good.

Lipinski, McStay and Elliott are available.

Beau could be syndesmosis according to Fox. Hope not that’s not a great injury to get.

Obviously, that stat is BS.
Chasing somebody can be a “pressure act”.
Ginnivan did a lot of chasing, as he touched it bugger all and his opponents kept on jogging it away from his area.
Nah.
He was crap.
Probably our worst.

Anyone rate Harrison as AFL standard?

Certainly got quality AFL traits.

Good toe on him. Can read crumbs off the pack. Gets in the right spots. Equipped on both feet and has good hands. Clean below his knees.

If he can improve his overhead marking we've got a player on our hands.

Would it smart to play them after the miss so much Footy?

Their rehab wouldn’t have have affected their aerobic fitness at all. I’d expect that they’re both in tip top shape. Both are experienced players and would offer more than anyone coming up through from the seconds.

The only doubt IMO would be having McStay, Mihocek and Johnson in the same forward line feels a bit tall - especially given Ginnivan is down on form, Harrison is new, and McCreery is likely out. And I doubt anybody would want to drop Johnson or Mihocek to bring in McStay.

Giving you a big like for highlighting Ginny’s Zero Insenity. Finally someone has hit the nail on the head. Ginny needs to bring way more insenity.

He’s shown that he can do it. That big win in the wet against Adelaide @ the Adelaide Oval, last year, was his best IMO.
However, this year, he’s been crap. And he also frequently burns team-mates. He knows that he doesn’t offer the special tricks that McCreery and Bobby do. He’s third in that pecking order. Elliot is his master. And when Lipinski is ready, it’s lights out.
…. I hear that the Blues need a small forward?

No more cans for you

I think the form of AJ and Cox is good enough that we'll add McStay and also keep our other talls.

Importantly AJ has lifted his defensive efforts and McStay is strong in this area, for a big man. Reckon we'll play them and have a runner as sub to inject later in the game.
spot on, you're more than just a 3rd man

The defence isn't really relevant to it.

McStay's definitely coming in when ready. Adds a missing dimension to our team and reduces wear and tear for Mihocek. Question will be whether we drop a ruck or AJ. I think, initially, we might play all.

So you'd rather omit a Johnson or one of the rucks to fit in McStay rather than omit that extra tall in defence like say Framption if he's not required for that weeks opposition?

While I have nothing against McStay I do question whether his contract has unexpectedly made a rod for our own back and the optics dictate he'll be straight back in the 22 despite the career best form of Mihocek, continued emergence of Johnson and rejuvenation of Cox.

Personally I think when your one wood as a team is taking the game on and busting open the opposition with your ball movement you'd want to be very careful you don't end up being to top heavy.

No way Ginnipig goes out.
Will only be saved by injuries if he doesn’t. Absolutely miles off it.

You’ll all go gaga about it, but just as made the early call on Stephenson I’m confident to go again and say Ginnivan won’t be on our list by the end of next year. Doubt he’ll be on a list at all, but he might get another shot in a bottom team, you never know.
Feel free to put that quote in your signature or set yourself a reminder if you need because I’m sure you all think it’s outrageous to even suggest it.

He’s the slowest bloke on our list, brings zero intensity when he doesn’t have the ball, drop his bottom lip at the first sign of trouble, tackles like his arms are made of spaghetti and his one trump card in his patented knee drop has been all but eliminated by the AFL. No good being a good kick for goal when you have no way of finding the ball close to goals now that the frees have dried up.

Harrison will overtake him quick smart if he shows a bit of ticker.

I can't see fly dropping AJ, he loves everything about him. I think we will go with the 3 talls and both rucks.

And Melbourne are a pretty tall side.
