I’d be more concerned that my prolapsed forehead was showing if I was you. Crayons and play dough are used to generate creativity. I do thoroughly enjoy my play time…..

Would be great for the rest of us if you could play with it in private.

I’m ok with McReery in his current role. He’s contributing towards us kicking goals and has in fact been a reason we’ve kicked many

Go back and watch the reply of Daicos’ first goal against Adelaide as an example. He basically created that goal single handedly without getting a single possession.
That was three games or so back. You got anything more recent? Structurally he obviously stays in the side but if anyone with a better record applies for selection, he is one I would look to return to the VFL for a break.

Ruscoe or Macrea sub. Bianco is done. Too slow.

Pity that he is a tad slow , he has a lot of footy smarts , come finals time when the pressure and speed goes up a couple of notches , that will be exposed , would love to be proven wrong .but me thinks not .

Assuming Howe is good to go next week my team would be the below:

IN: J.Carmichael, B.Mihochek, B.Grundy
OUT: T.Adams (injured), T.Bianco (omitted), M.Cox (omitted)

B: B.Maynard, D.Moore, I.Quaynor
HB: N.Daicos, J.Howe, N.Murphy
C: S.Sidebottom, S.Pendlebury, J.Daicos
HF: J.Ginnivan, B.Mihochek, B.McReery
F: A.Johnson, D.Cameron, J.Elliott
R:B.Grundy, J.Crisp, J.DeGoey
I: J.Noble, P.Lipinski, J.Carmichael, W.Hoskin-Elliott
Sub: O.Henry

I think the whole team rested in the final round of 2011.
I actually think the match against the Lions in about rd 19 or 20 was the time when we had peaked too soon and run out of legs as was proven in rd 22 and the finals series,Malthouse made a terrible mistake by going much too hard in the pre season cup lunacy if you ask me or arrogance on Malthouses part.

In all likelihood we won’t be a winning combination coming up against the Dees who need to improve their form, which reaffirms my point we should use this game to rest key players.

I was saying the same thing in the bubble season, and we were spent by the time finals came around. The purpose of football is to win a grand final…it’s not to win home and away season games.
In 2 areas you wrong here firstly coming into the Dees we are a winning combination as has been shown these last 10 wks we may not be after friday night time will tell, 2nd I do not think we will be spent coming into finals we have been making 2 or v3 changes most weeks and we are still winning.

I actually think we are looking better than either 2011 or 2018 maybe not the standard of players this season but they are running out games much better than those years,I actually think we are looking quite battle hardened and difficult to beat.

I hope you’re right, but I fear you aren’t. If we lose Friday off a 6 day break, and/or cop injuries we will look back at the game as a lost opportunity to rest and refresh key players before finals.

Yep, they outscored us by about 7 goals in the last quarter. That was the beginning of the end. We were never quite the same again.

When you consider the bye it will be 2 games in a month under your scenario.

I’ve never met a creative person with tunnel vision - so not sure we can believe you.

Exactly.... We get a rest the week before the finals. Why not take the punt at potentially beating Melbourne for the second time this year and cementing a top 3 slot?

I’ll wait until the extent of the injuries are released before commenting on who should be in and out.

I think 1 things for certain personally and that is I wouldn’t change our rock stocks this week. Grundy needs another run in the 2s and Cox goes to Gawn, Cameron to Jackson. Hard to change what’s working.

I’d almost potentially be bringing in Grundy to play a Blicavs type role and play Ruck-Rover to help in the centre clearances as he is our best clearance winner, doesn’t mind get down and dirty either.

Cox will make way for Grundy.

You want to concede a game on the big stage against the reigning premiers on a Friday night? Are you crazy?
