I think it’ll be this plus Grundy in for Cox.
With Adams out I reckon we’ll go to Grundy to give more contest in the middle.

Why?
He’s no slower than Sidey
If you watched the VfL game spinny you would see. Def not ready for AFL. Need atleast another game in the 2’s, and certainly isn’t ready for Gawn/Jackson. Lot of cobwebs to blow out, and match fitness isn’t there.
Sidey is far more elusive and turns players inside out. Bianco doesn't have those skills in his kitbag as yet
sounded like fly indicated if grundy pulls up well, he'll play v melbourne.
He was happy with what he saw
11 disposals, 6 clearances and 8 tackles also.
Considering he has been out for 4 months, l don't think counting his contested marks really matters at this stage.
Apart from rucking, he doesn't do a lot. He does it well enough but in the modern game, the best rucks are the ones who do something else. He could be a good player but he doesn't really touch the ball elsewhere a lot.
Considering he is in his 10th season, it's not bad you can question only two years of it. We can say what about his previous 7 years where he's won two Copelands and twice AA.....
7 disposals and 3 tackles. he doesn't impact the game and doesn't get involved in many scoring chains. You have to do more than just apply pressure, he was ******* useless today
Not necessarily. Ginnivan kicked 3 today and probably had the same number of touchesYeah and did * all else. 7 disposal's is appalling.
Did he? I'd have thought Grundy was very carefully time managed, maybe 50-55% TOG, but still managed 21 hitouts. The "D grade ruckman" seemed to play at least 85% TOG yet only had 28, and a significant number of those against Begg. I'm not saying Grundy starred but the hyperbole is hardly merited.
We need everything Grundy can bring. His following work is first class, he gets a spot purely on that. He tackles, he taps and he kicks straight at goal.Let’s not. Let’s focus on what he can do now. Which is of great concern. Considering we need a marking ruck. Not a follower who thinks he is an inside mid.

Not many punters calling for Grundy’s inclusion?
Wow…
This week is going to be a tough week for selection. A lot of players will feel hard done by.
It’s a massive game against a tough opponent.
Based on Fly claiming Checkers and Howe should be ok…
OUT: Adams IN: Checkers
OUT: Cox IN: Grundy (if Grundy pulls up stiff, he plays VFL again).
OUT: Bianco IN: Carmichael (the kid is a bull. He needs to be played).
Medi sub: Henry.

You either have it , or you don’t , he don’tZERO MARKS…….
Very telling he hasn’t learnt a thing while injured.
We need them. About 5/6 per game.

Cox has played some great last quarter's. His height is a huge advantage late in games at the centre bounce and around the ground. I'd love a mini compilation of his taps and punches to our advantage. Are your eyes painted on. Are you not watching the past 10 games and what dynamic the Cameron and Cox combination has brought. Those marks are a very valuable commodity. These two boys have nearly averaged 10 per those games. And that is something that Grundy can’t do. And nor can he clear the contest with a tap over the top. His strengths aren’t things we need. Not if we want to keep winning.
He has never shown he can take telling defensive marks. His only attribute is he can tap to himself and get meaningless dump clearances. That the opposition read and cost us conga line goals.
So no thank you. I’m happy with our current 10-0 winning combination. And I suspect fly is also. That’s why he brought DeGoey straight in. And went Grundy the clearances king to the Magoos. That shows how much he rates his ruck craft.
And that’s where he’ll be come this coming weeks game against the Dreamons. No chance of displacing the other boys.

Back up dancer with the rhythm of a baby giraffe attempting Swan Lake on iceAfter today’s performance on both games. Grundy is no chance of displacing either Cameron or Cox.
And you don’t f$&@k with form.
He waits and plays VFL again. Back up dancer is all he is now.

Champion data stats. 21 HO. To advantage or just that he got a touch to the ball before the other Ruckman. He was inconsequential to the win today. I couldn’t remember when he actually gave the mids a clear advantage. And that’s his problem. Hasn’t learnt a thing while injured.
That he thinks wrestling is what we need him to be doing is very disconcerting.
But Fly made his intentions felt by bringing DeGoey straight in. He is a needed commodity. Grundy is not.
He won’t be playing agains the Dreamons and will struggle to displace the the other boys just yet. 3/4 more weeks in the VFL.
Hey what’s so bad about helping the VFL boys win a premiership. Nothing wrong with that.

Your iPhone is definitely getting a workout…
