Well, that was pretty unconvincing, but in a way, I'm glad Hawthorn showed up in the third and gave us a bit of a wake up call.

I'm just going to hope Petty is fit, as I don't really want to think of alternatives. No changes stand out for me initially, and with no Casey game, it's hard to go off form.

Looking forward to a matchup with a strong team, as it's pretty difficult to know exactly where we are at the moment.

Guessing on the injuries...

OUT: Petts, Trac (both injured - possibly)
IN: TMac, Jordon (Harmes sub)

Not ideal, but they seem the most likely given roles and recent selections.

Really feel like KC needs a break. Two weeks where he’s been barely sighted. 6 day break into Power away is hardly ideal.
They have a six-day break coming back from Tassie too, not really a disadvantage

Give Trac a spell. I’d prefer he has 2 weeks off and gets fresh than battles through just for the sake of not missing a round 10 game. Jordon or Harmes in if he misses.

Be a shame if Petty doesn’t get up after his best half as a forward. If not it’ll be whoever plays best at Casey out of Brown or Tmac.

No need for any other changes. Just play better.

No Casey game this week, and with TMac in the emergencies and Brown on a modified program atm you'd think TMac would be first in line if Petty isn't right to go.

Yeah that's the best Petty has looked as a forward today. I think the commentators at one stage said Sicily hadn't lost a one-on-one contested mark all season and Petty took two on him in a half.

Hopefully the injury is minor

I think it was just precautions, the game was done so they subbed him he probably plays on if it was closer.

As for changes I wouldn't make any.

Visceral reactions
Steven may need to play on the worst forwards in the comp every week. Very nice.

JVR - I saw him crash into a few packs without DUTY OF CARE. Someone needs to get in his ear and look him straight in the eye.

Petracca - that looked like the exact same foot injury that ruined Mitch Clark’s career. 🪦

Gumby - a solid 6/10 episode. Delist.

Viney - I liked how he was willing to higher his eyes and handball into more opposition players’ shins this week.

Lever - let’s talk about his sideburns. He. Needs. To. Shave. Them.

Spargo - was a good boy today and didn’t leave any poos on the rug.

Brayshaw - didn’t kick enough oof on his left today. Delist.

Gawn - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hunter - I really like how Jayden continues to take the tackler on despite having no idea how to get past.

Oliver - I just love love love how he has expanded his game from missing targets by foot to missing them by hand.

Hibberd - there was a hungry pig at the G yesterday. HOLD ON TO YOUR LUNCHES.

Clangdon - played his clanging role well.

Bowey - I think his career might be over after that marking contest. 🪦

Jim Jones - drank the kool aid 🪦

Rivers - could he be THE RISING STAR? 👀💫

ANB - 2 surnames 1 behind. 👧 👧 💩

Fritsch - less of a cassowary and more of a lyrebird this week. 🦚

Swallow - could he be the TOTAL TOOLS RECRUIT OF THE YEAR? 👀

Petty - career ending toe injury 😢☠️

Pickett - we might only get 5 first rounders when we trade him out at season’s end at this rate…

Chaminda - run out for a diamond duck and bowled 2 overs for 0/37 🦆🦆🦆

Judd - looked back to his old self

McVee - unsighted

Out: JVR (suspended), Trac (career over), Bowey (career over), Petty (career over), Lever, Brayshaw, Gawn, Pickett

In: J Smith, McDonald, Brown, Melksham, Tomlinson, Dunstan, Disco, Laurie, Shaq

Don’t get the Petty love.
Missed a few goals a fit Big Benny would have potted with his eyes closed.
Took contested marks Big Benny wouldn't have been near with 8 arms. Added a lot in the air and contested well. Goalkicking not as sharp as BBB or TMc, cure, but he's helping create more chances than they would.

I certainly need to eat my hat re Petty. Played his best game of the year on the weekend. Hope he gets up, he added a lot to the forward line.
You could see him growing in confidence as the game went on, too. Such shit timing for an injury. Hope the substitution was just precautionary.

Potential to be one of the games of the year. Scheduled Friday night thankfully.

Hard to line up the form, you guys have looked convincing at times and then a few average games. Always hard when you belt shit side’s because you don’t learn much.

You got us when were horrible last year, suspect we will be better this time.

I think we got like 100 points from turnover yesterday or something stupid. The test for Ken is to find other ways to score…..you guys just don’t hand the ball back often.

Looking forward to it actually, far too many rubbish games these days.

Fine maybe we give Benny a run in the middle? Could be a good on a wing.

Could have used him in at the centre bounces vs Hawthorn in the third quarter. Couldn't do any worse than the guys that were in there.
