Grundy has big game experience. We have unexpected injuries. Clearly makes sense to play him and would be crazy not to. Max had a huge second half on Thursday but his first half was shit and if we could have sent him up forward in the second quarter he might have jagged a couple.

Jack Martin rubbed out 2 weeks for striking.

Collingwood ran out of gas, but they would have expected that given their plan in the first half was to defend deep and gut run to get us on the turnover from our horrible kicks to the hot spot. This would have been a clear plan for them after losses to us and Carlton. They will adapt against less contested teams.
You say some bizarre things some times, this is up there.
They literally have played a score from the back half game all year. There is absolutely no way in hell there game plan was to win having 30 plus less inside 50s and kick 0 goals in the last quarter.

They played one of their shittest games for the year, and held on out of pure and utter incompetence from us

As a neutral, I assumed Jordon would definitely come in for Brayshaw (I rate Jordon too, oops)

1 of Grundy/Turner/Schache for JVR

Woewodin or Spargo sub

I like the idea of Melbourne not bringing a tall in for JVR though, because Carlton were pretty tall in defence last week and I’d rather Fisher comes in for some more rebound/speed.

Carlton’s changes will heavily depend on SOS fitness. If he’s ok, probably just him and Motlop in for McKay & Martin. Dow sub. If SOS isn’t fit, it’s unclear what we’ll do, with Kemp a small chance to play forward, again possibly depending on who you guys bring in for JVR.

Apologies for intruding and good luck!

Shows how we're both going that it doesn't even slightly faze me McKay ain't playing. Doesn't change the overall out come imo

'Will our flag window ever close?'

Hodge is always on the money. No flowery language just hard truth.

Just listening to him on SEN Crunchtime now he just teed off on Bailey Fritsch for shirking some physical contests on Thursday night. Said he hopes Goodwin tore strips off him.

Interestingly he says we can beat Collingwood if we meet them in the GF. Making it is of course the issue.
Hodge has spoken in the past that late it 08 hawthorn had a close game against Geelong but fell short. He said that he believed the next time they play he believed Geelong were gettable. Turned out he was right, mind you Geelongs inaccuracy hurt the most. I think hodge had that in mind, but of course it will be a mammoth task to get another shot at them.

Of course we can beat Collingwood. But we've made it near on impossible we even get the chance again now

The veil of negativity is a full-blown theatre style blackout curtain. I can see no way on this earth how we can beat the bloose at the G and the loins at the gabba with our WA-Salvage style forward line. Fmd

I think we will lose to carlton but we are definitely a chance to win. Brisbane up there is like 2% chance though

I think contrary to my pessimism and negatively, we actually come out and win this. The campaigners will get our hopes up again!
