Nothing surer you blokes will win next week.
Gawn and co wont start that poorly again.
Everyone gets seduced by the winner of elim final but forget you were a whisker from the top side whilst they fell in against 8th.
Sleep easily dees youve got them covered.

Thanks for the sentiment but yeah, we know we haven’t.

Wouldn’t be against Turner being in the 22/23 as a possible swing man.

Happy to go small in forward line but I do think somebody needs to play on Weitering - the way Melksham would have and Parker started to late last night.

If we don’t trust Smith to do that then perhaps give Turner the chance and Smith either starts back or goes sub.

Yeah we just need blokes who can move and get to contests. Spargo should be in ahead of Laurie at the very least at least he can find targets inside 50.

Yeah Spargo stronger tackler too. Happy enough to see him replace Laurie, or if not him then Woey.

Not writing off Laurie career wise but he clearly wasn’t up to the pace and intensity the other night so can’t play again this year.

Glad I'm not the only one who cringed at Gawns comment after the game.

Hodge is always on the money. No flowery language just hard truth.

Just listening to him on SEN Crunchtime now he just teed off on Bailey Fritsch for shirking some physical contests on Thursday night. Said he hopes Goodwin tore strips off him.

Interestingly he says we can beat Collingwood if we meet them in the GF. Making it is of course the issue.

Whereas I actually found it quite refreshing. Good to know that they're not all drinking the kool-aid

Sleep paralysis demon, but it's just Simon Goodwin whispering "contest, defense" into your ear

But Hodgey is right.

We've known this for 18 months that we've had forward issues and yet our entries are exactly the same as what they were pretty much this time last year. We really haven't done much to rectify this and it was on show on Thursday night.

I don't want to be overly harsh on Gawn because he did play 3 good quarters of the night.

In: Schache, Grundy, Woey, Harmes, Spargo
Out: Braysh, JVR, TMac, Laurie, JSmith

EMERG: JSmith (Sub), Jordon, Tomo, Laurie

Would rather Schache as a forward than Grundy, and would rather Grundy as a forward than Disco if Schache not chosen.

Would have had Tomo in but McKay's concussion changes my mind.

They will never make 5 changes, of course.

Maybe I need to watch the game but I can't recall Fritta shirking any contest to be honest?

In order to win we need to correct our forward synergy since the loss of melksham & petty.
We will lose by 1-4 goals if we try that again.

As good as gawn is we will need to sacrifice some of that ruck time (40%) to supplement the forward line. I actually think Gawn is playing amazing as a footballer and ok as a ruck man. Grundy is more than capable to provide ruck service. Gawn in the forward line while he is playing good football needs to be looked at.

Whats the cost? Playing bailey laurie for 5 disposals over grundy? What are we losing right now ? The media has created a hysteria that grundy is no good forward etc. We need him in the side and these forward issues have been with us since 2017. Play Gawn more forward.

Richmond was easily the weakest but yeah guess JRoo, Lynch for 2 and Martin is still pretty good
It's not even a contest lol. 8xAA, 3 colemans, and a top 5-10 player of the past thirty years in that line up. Those three were able to carry all the average small guys they had and make them better too. All the senior players in our forwardline are terrible except for Fritsch. JVR sucked on Thursday but he desperately needs someone to help him out. Played his best footy when Petty was up there with him.

If Trac played forward more like Martin it would make us a bit better but still a world away from what Richmond had on offer.

Its why I think it's brisbanes flag. They have guns on every line

Yeah outside of how well they defended I wasn't super impressed with Collingwood at all but Brisbane won't play into their hands like that. The flog lions will get it done

Think hes referring to the Quaynor mark in the last quarter? Slick needed to attempt a spoil at a minimum. Really should have cleaned him up for dropping into the hole.

Collingwood won't even beat Port if they play like they did against us.
Collingwood ran out of gas, but they would have expected that given their plan in the first half was to defend deep and gut run to get us on the turnover from our horrible kicks to the hot spot. This would have been a clear plan for them after losses to us and Carlton. They will adapt against less contested teams.
