I forgot about the events on example 5.

Round 22, 2018
On-baller Matt Crouch set an AFL record for handballs, with 35 to go along with his 46 disposals, while Rory Laird collected 41 touches and nine marks.

Can't really see how you could justify not picking a proper ruck option to support ROB. Himmelberg is not a good AFL footballer but he's not so bad we'd be better off putting someone like Walker in the ruck. He's on the list for a reason and it's to play this role when Thilthorpe can't.

Not sure how good Borlase would be in that role, I suppose he is the main viable alternative. Would much prefer Himmelberg over picking Strachan and having two rucks, though I doubt the club would do that.

firstly, ROB thrives on continuity and huge workload. Secondly, as you say, can't play two rucks that can't play any other position.

I don't believe Himmelberg is even having a good SANFL season. Pity, his best is good. Just not often enough.

He's still going to need time on the bench though, so we have to have a plan for who rucks during those times. I'd definitely rather pick Himmelberg in Thilthorpe's role than have Walker do it.

If it's Borlase that's fine, as he'd be filling Murray's role anyway.

Ned’s been good as sub. Deserves to see if he can do it for a whole match.

Thats the problem. He has had 5 chances for full games and he fails every time. How many chances does he need. Stupid is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The North game was the best chance to bring in and blood someone fresh. Not repeat the same mistakes. We are 7 and 7. Thats not golden ticket club type standards.
