Pedlar for Schoenberg
Berry for Jones
Butts for anyone (didtnt watch the SANFL but Keane stats looked like he had a good game, lot of marks)

They said Fog was 1 - 2 give him an extra to be safe, then bring him in and give Tex a week off. Give Gollant a 3 week block.

Surely Taylor gets a go?

Tex was pretty bad. He looked like he was injured early on in the match and struggled after.

This is the time to give him a rest. We don't want to run him into the ground and not get much out of him later on in the season.

On SM-A325F using BigFooty.com mobile app
give him 1 more week this week then rest him V Carlton when Fog and McAdam are likely back

Looks like I see the MRO stuff with different eyes to many. I thought McAdam's bump was an entirely legal shirtfront to the chest.

As for Pedlar, watching the replay it seems that he did bring him to ground with a second motion after the tackle was complete. He made the tackle, the ball had spilled, and momentum had carried him past Houston but in the heat of the moment he pulls the right arm out from around Houston's chest and throws it over the shoulder to pull him to ground. He could have just let go, I think he had done enough to earn the free.

Don't mind seeing a bit of mongrel though. I'm OK that he pushed the limits, bit unlucky with the result. Might have been a bit of 'Crow MRO tax' in the penalty, but I think it did deserve some sanction.

Looks like our dream forward line has McAdam and Pedlar out suspended, Fog needing another week off, and Tex carrying something.

Who are the fit and available front six plus rotation?

TT, Rachele and Rankine a given.
If Tex goes out surely Gollant stays in, probably stays anyway.
Murphy and Keays stay.

So the 7th forward probably comes down to a hobbling Tex, failing EH or McHenry for his first game of the year.

But look out Carlton in Gather Round if we get the band back together. Rachele and Rankine crumbing, Fog and TT leading and clunking pack marks, McAdam and Pedlar applying the forward pressure with a freshened up Tex coming off the bench doing what only Tex does.

We didnt.. we layed down..

Pedlar The spineless Club has accepted the week off.
Ftfy.

That's the bullest of bulley bullshit. Gutless by AFC.
The tackled player's head did NOT hit the ground (watch it in 0.5X speed). He stayed down like he'd been shot, with his head on the ground, then jumped up like a WWC wrestler/Soccer player after the free was given, rarin' to go.
It's utter AFL garbage.

Edit: if the MRP are dishing out suspensions based on "potential" injury, that's the end of the game which is by default potentially injurious. FkmeD :shoutyoldman: .

Out:
Pedlar (susp), Butts (omitted/injured), Smith (omitted)

In:
Schoenberg, Keane, Parnell

Sub:
Sholl

Berry survives (pending a fitness test) due in part to the Pedlar suspension. Can’t have both the smash brothers out for the same game.

Tex survives because Fog isn’t ready to return. I’m resting Tex in Round 5 when Fog returns, and giving Gollant another game.

Sholl to sub because Schoenberg is required to play Pedlar’s role, and with Smith coming out of defence we need Parnell back there for a full game. We have plenty of wing coverage for Sholl, in the form of Soligo, Sloane, Hinge, Dawson and Jones. Sholl is made for a sub role IMO.

Yep that's weak by the AFC. This is actually a decision they should protest and which we have a good chance of the suspension being thrown out.

Surprised Tex hasn't been mentioned more. He looks both mentally and physically shot atm.
Wouldn’t be surprised if hes extremely fatigued these days, he’s got another newborn, and 2 young boys running around. Wouldn’t be easy and may be sleep deprived. This has got to be his last year, his body language last week speaks volumes, especially when he was lining up for goal with those port fans giving him shit, had that look of im going to miss this. He will hang up the boots and let Fog and TT lead the way end of season.

I think it's weighing on Tex that he needs to perform to get another deal. He also looks injured at present. With both Fogarty and Thilthorpe now showing what they can do he may know this is his final year. We really need that 3rd tall to standup as well. Hopefully that's Gollant.

Milera has literally just come back into the side and built into the game.

The yoyoing of people in and out needs to stop.
Don't let it worry ya, If he stays injury free the same people will be eating their words in a couple of months. looked ok on Saturday and will only get better with every game
