Lazzaro 13 disposals, 2 tackles, 4 clearances & 2m GAINED! What's he in the team for? Doesn't get the ball, doesn't tackle and doesn't break the lines. He has attended the 4th most amount of CBA's so far. He got relegated to 5th most on the weekend with Jy back, but I'd rather give Duurs or Kerch his midfield minutes and bring in an extra key forward.

Sleevo and Stephens on thin ice too. I would give Harvey or Hansen Jr. a go soon if Sleevo doesn't increase his output. 10 disposals & 0 tackles not enough. Stephens gets a reprieve because he's a specialist winger.

Doubt he's lost it. It often happens that someone looks past it and then regains their attributes once their motor gets running. Sounds funny to say but to my eye we need another Jy. One to offer attacking class and a defensive edge at half-forward, and one to do it in the guts

The mix is currently not right. I suppose the first half of the year is to identify who can be used produce our first win of 2024.

Our game plan looked slick AF in attack when it was working, but it all stemmed from incredible pressure on the ball carrier and removing all options up the ground with a multi-layered team defence. We need to be including more players who do both of these things more often.

Bottom line is that we now have at least one layer in the vfl to put pressure on most positions.

Simply, if you are performing well in the 2s, you should get your chance to replace the like-player, whomever that may be.

Simply, if you are performing well in the 2s, you should get your chance to replace the like-player, whomever that may be.

I think that's where it's headed too, but it will be gradual; they won't be making 4 changes at a time unless there's a serious statement required about a lack of effort - if I was putting money on it, I'd say 2 changes - the coaching staff clearing sent a message about Lazzaro with their substitution, and CCCJ's lack of impact can't go on indefinitely

Sellers Ford and Greenwood in for CCJ, Stephens and Lazzaro. Could also contemplate Bergman coming in for Tucker, allowing mckercher to go to the wing. Stephens as sub.

Sellers in for CCJ is a no brainer, Greenwood can come in to give Xerri a chop out in the ruck. That way we can leave Sellers in the forward line and not expose him in the ruck.
