Can't be that hard to find someone to give a handful of stupid free kicks away.
I assume you're being funny, but I'm more referring to how little outside run we have. Hunt, Stretch, and..?

Tom Mcdonald showed a hell of a lot more at the same age, he was pretty useless last year as well. I dunno how we set a marker on that.

An amount of years until he's considered better than Tom?
You're mis-remembering young Tom. Weak like his brother and ****ups by the dozen. I think it'll be years before he's better because Tom is going to like Rance keep on getting better but he'll peak higher.

I dunno I had a feeling when I saw young Tom that he would make AA one day, maybe it was because we were so shit that his mistakes were ignored and I only saw his positives but IMO I saw more from him. I would love nothing more than to be wrong about Omac

He was winning time trials - or coming second to Nicholson - from his first season though. Oscar doesn't have the aerobic capacity to go with the the roaming CHFs, or to go on a couple of dashing runs himself as TMac used to do when he was third banana behind Frawley and Garland. Right now, he's Matthew Warnock without the massive frame.

O.Mac is the most nervous player I have ever seen. I don't see much difference between him and Cale Morton if I'm being brutally honest.

Ah, Jimmy Toumpas? Oscar will be fine. He's young and underdeveloped but he is very athletic for his height and has got great hands. More composure than his brother too.

How you feeling about Goody now Stabler?

Mate, if Oscar was Jack Watts - you would bash the shit out of him.

Oscar in his third year. Watts is in his ninth. I know I hate on Jack a lot, I just find him a really non-competitive sort of player. I struggle with Tyson and Garland for the same reasons. But they play for the MFC so I should be less harsh. Not everyone is Jack Viney.

I've read some perplexing opinions on this site over the years, but that's right up there.
Alright. For me, he visibly flinches whenever contact is approaching.

You'll need to provide examples. Never ever seen that sort of thing.

I thought Salem was very contested in the Geelong game last year, but now that i think about it i can't recall him winning any hardballs often enough.

Still both our kids though and both our still developing, i have faith with the way our coaching staff want to play that'll come in time whereas someone like a Toumpass is mentally ******. Brad Green started out soft but was taking contested marks by the end of his career. I'm okay with them at the moment because you have to remember no matter how much weight you have put on, or how bulky you are. They're kids playing a mens game, it'll come when they have enough confidence in their bodies

I'm guessing Oscar is the second best time trialer at the club after his brother but happy to be corrected.

Rate Dom as high as anyone, but I don't see the rush bringing him in unless he has a blinder for Casey. Don't love Melksham but we don't have a direct replacement for his role at this stage.

Completely agree, the only replacement would be Harmes.

People see what they want to see with him. He doesn't go as hard as he should, in my opinion.

Don't agree with this though, just because he is a player with beautiful skills doesn't mean he doesn't go hard. Remember his tackle on Goddard in like his 3rd game? His contested work in JLT? Some of his early 2015 work on the HBF?

Bugg is.

On talking about toughness, I really liked Stretch's attack on the ball yesterday, and he didn't flinch at all when coming for that high ball, wasn't sure he had it in him (not because he has obviously shirked anything in the past, just I've never seen it be his turn to go like that). Feel like this is part of the culture building throughout the team.

He's impressive. For a skinny kid, he's always gone when it was his turn and would be in the top 5 or 6 for most poised.

I think the only change we make is for Smith, probably replaced by Bugg who was an emergency. I'd replace Melksham too, who I though was poor, but will give him opportunity to settle.

I've never felt that - he's always held his own in a contest.

He has had a few concussions so might be a little hesitant

State league affiliate: Casey Demons (VFL)
This weekend: Casey Demons v Williamstown - Saturday, March 25, 11.30am, Casey Fields

Midfielder Dom Tyson accumulated 24 possessions, 16 inside 50s and kicked two goals in the Demons' 36-point win.

Ruckman Jake Spencer (28 hit-outs, 10 disposals) and Dean Kent (20 disposals) were other notable standouts in the VFL practice match win.

No surprise that the two guys most of us wanted playing were 2 of the 3 best performers on the day.

16 inside-50s is insane for Tyson. That would be an equal-record for an individual if it happened in the AFL. St Kilda had 44 in total on Saturday.

Might have to win for staying-with-the-pack reasons here too.

Richmond Vs Collingwood
Western Bulldogs Vs Sydney
Hawthorn Vs Adelaide??
GWS Vs Gold Coast
Brisbane Vs Essendon
West Coast
Vs St Kilda
Geelong Vs North Melbourne
Melbourne Vs Carlton
Port Adelaide Vs Fremantle

Can see 6 sides (including ourselves) being 2-0 after this week which given only one side out of the last 50 or so has made the finals from 0-2 is hugely important.

But we have a real chance here to break free. The Round 8 rule is in play and I want us to be as entrenched as possible by then.
