I'm starting to believe in the "send him to an optometrist" theory

It's ridiculous how many times he kicks to a spot where there is no Port player within 20m.

I'd like to see the likes of Palmer, Frampton etc get a game but not too many at once or it might be counter productive for their confidence.
Would love Frampton to get a game. Wouldn't hurt his confidence get a few taps and if he could drop back in defence, we need another tall. Would not happen because he's still got a lot to work on but there's something to be said for a player with good attitude in the side.

To want Kochie gone IMO is a disrespectful comment. No person performing his role will ever be perfect BUT in 3 short years he has assisted in formulating a board that has turned our club into a profitable business.

Secondly the guy lives IN Sydney and lives an very, very hectic lifestyle. I'm finding it tough with my business to do the podcast and to get to the footy. How he gets to the footy every second week and commit to the board, it's a massive commitment of his personal time.

He should be congratulated for that. He's been able to create strategies to give our players the best opportunities and hasn't allowed us to be dictated to by external forces.

I congratulate David for his efforts and he is an IN for as long as he likes.

If Lobbe plays next week i'm probably going to start a thread calling for Hinkley to be sacked.

There is absolutely no valid reason to continue to play him at this stage. Nothing. If he's that mentally fragile that he can't handle being dropped for his poor performances, then delist him.

I'm really tired of our club striving so hard to embody the spirit of the Care Bears.
How's my Lobbe v Warnock thread going lately?

I'll give you one reason (and there is only 1 lol) but if we continue to play with Lobbe it keeps him and Ryder playing together. Let's face it next year Lobbe and Ryder will be our ruck combination and the more game time we give them together the better (hopefully) they will be next year. They have both had their share of injuries this year which has meant they haven't played a huge amount together. Whilst I agree with everyone's calls to drop Lobbe you have to realise if Ken does select him it will be due to that 1 reason. 2016 does start now and that could be something I'd like to see improve next season (ruck combination).
And as for calling for Ken to be sacked.... Stop drinking on a Saturday so much and look forward to 2016 without your mate Butcher :)

Yea it was the knock on him in his WCE days but his disposal by foot improved a lot in his first few years back home, now it's just ridiculously bad.. something ain't right it's got me buggered

Ebo has been good his.fprm.has dropped Ong with the.whole.team. I'm. Not.convinced dropping the likes.of Ebert or Lobbe will help actually unless you just want to serve a message?

I wonder if the fact we haven't been dropping some players and some non-selections have been due to the fact that we were mathematically a chance for finals. We had to be seen as still trying to put our best 22 on the park - and this is part of the politics REH has been dropping. Where this directive comes from, is difficult to say. To my mind, it wasn't Ken. His body language suggested he knew the season was over for some time.

I suspect now that the finals are out of the question, we should see some fresh faces come through.

my opinion is Ebert shoudl be developed into the tagging midfiedler, Moore should be gone-ski, I just cant see the point of playing Lobbe again this season till he gets some form. I dont know what people think of Trengove's year but i think it has been very average, he is to slow to hold an oppontent on the lead, and he can be turned inside out to easily, personally if he isnt playing really deep on a tall opponent i fail to see his value.

Lobbe NEEDS to be dropped
Hammer SHOULD be dropped after yesterday
White SHOULD be dropped after yesterday

Monfries for Neade
Amon for Colquhoun
Krakouer for O'Shea
Palmer for Lobbe

Yeah I agree, I don't necessarily think we need to go in with two ruckman against gws as they don't have that second string ruckman who has a bit of experience. Ryder should benefit from being alone

I honestly have no idea where you start in terms of changes for this upcoming week. We're not going to make finals, that's been obvious for a while. But, now that it's virtually impossible, do we try to tinker with the lineup? Or do we still put what we believe is truly the best 22 on the park to try to let the players "figure it out" and get us back on the right track?

For starters, Ken has frequently told the public that the Lobbe/Ryder combination is a long term prospect. So the big question from my POV is how much longer do we bang our head against a wall and hope we get a different result than a headache? Lobbe and Ryder are both signed up long term? So do we persevere with this next week? Or do we change it up by dropping Lobbe? If we drop Lobbe, who do we bring in? Do we go back to the one ruck with extra runner setup that worked so well last year? Or do we bring in another ruck man like Frampton or Redden and see if their chemistry with Ryder works better? Third option is to bring in a third tall forward (like Harvey) and let Ryder ruck the entire game...just thinking about these options is giving me a headache! And then, given that Lobbe is signed long term, would any change this week be a change looking to the future? Or is it just change to freshen things up for a week, knowing that Lobbe and Ryder eventually are going to be the long term solution?

As for the rest of the changes, I hope whoever comes into the side comes in based on form. i know mitchell isn't a great player by any stretch, but his form in the SANFL warrants selection. Same goes for Monfries. At least Ken that way can send the message that your form, and not your past history past years prior, is going to dictate your future.

The players I personally want dropped are Lobbe, O'Shea and Moore. The rest I'm happy to figure it out. I would bring in Monfries, Krakouer and Ah Chee. If we drop Neade I'd bring in Mitchell.

Just want to see effort next week. I don't care about the result. Show the effort. All great things begin with effort. We are going to get to the top by playing with effort. We are not going to get anywhere with such an insipid effort we saw yesterday.

He just can't kick when there is pressure or implied pressure. In the game yesterday the five kicks he had in the first 15 minutes were all pretty much spot on and then things just went out the window. He still did some nice things, he's one of our midfielders who can usually be relied on to fly strongly for a mark, but he was down to the kicking efficiency of the rest of the team.

Out
O'Shea - Genuinely shit footballer and has been in every year of his career apart from 2013. The fact that he has so many fanbois on here astounds me.

Neade probably did less than Young or Moore, but I'd leave him in ahead of those two based on him having more upside than either of those two. I wouldn't really be complaining if he was dropped for someone like Jesse Palmer though.

couldn't agree more about O'Shea, we think alike - I have no idea why or how he has so many supporters on this forum. Even the last few weeks he has been ordinary (perhaps broke even against the saints) and his decision making or general field play has been the direct result of an opposition goal.

Disagree about Neade, he has played 2 good games of AFL footy in 3 years, the Elimination Final last year and the Saints last week. He is always a step behind play and is ALWAYS caught in no mans land. Once again he had less than 10 disposals and failed to put a score on the board - we can't afford to carry a player like that, either Hinkley can't connect with him or he hasn't got it for this level.

A slight positive for me was Sam Gray although I have been a big critic of his. Also, well played Tom Clurey.

I generally get the vibe that the majority of the team, apart from Boak and some others, would finish the season right now if they could. Maybe they are cooked mentally and physically after a taxing 2 years? In any case, we need to test some of the younger players now to see whether they have a future or not.

I know, she will probably have a Neade-like impact but at least the game will be worth watching.

Kern will be the first to give her a big hug when we win.

agreed. If you remember, his first 5 rounds were blistering and probably AA form and then hit a wall like everyone else. Why?

Lobbe needs to spend some time with Tredders in the off season learning how to take a contested mark, he is AWFUL!!!

having a lead ruckman that averages less than 2 marks a game is ridiculous.

In hindsight, I think the club probably made a mistake with not turning over another 2 or 3 players at the end of last year - O'Shea should have been traded whilst we had the chance. Paul Stewart is taking up a place in the squad unnecessarily.
