out
schulz - unless he signs a contract
hoon - how many times i gotta say it, he isnt afl standard
oshea - like a chook with its head cut off
neade - ive tried to defend him but ive had enough
lobbe - been saying it for months, he isnt up t it.

those that people are saying should be out
moore - give him every game this year to prove himself
young - same as moore
ebert - as shite as his kicking is, he still does a heap more than others
white - unfortunatley he is a downhill skier..but we always knew that. when we are on fire, we need him in the team

one player that i would consider trading is westhoff. he is gold when he cares, but so amny times i saw him jogging when he needed to be sprinting. he dont get dropped this week cos we got noone else, but skating on thin ice.

in
monfries - i was calling for him to be an out, but i was wrong. he needs to be in there.
redden - lets see how much fitness he has gained
krak - no need to explain
amon - run boy run
shaw - lets take a look at what he has got

good summary, I agree with the majority.

Interesting re Redden. Not sure who owes who in that relationship, but given he has now put a full SANFL season behind him and can probably make it as an AFL ruckman, is he trade bait? I suspect there will be a few clubs asking about him.

Ebert has had some poor moments this year with his kicking but effort wise he is always in my team.
Probably needs another role - that's why we need another quality midfielder NOW

Redden is the best WADA insurance we have. He's not up for trade unless we have a better option. We are buying Dixon to go forward not ruck. Gorringe we don't want. Leaves us with Redden Lobbe and a developing Frampton.

Out:
Gray
wingard
Hartlett
Schulz
White
Lobbe

In
Monfries
Ah chee
Krakoeur
butcher or Harvey
Amon
Redden

Time to test the depth or at least give them some game time.

Out: Lobbe, O'Shea, Schulz, Neade, Trengove, Colquhoun
In: Ah Chee, Butcher, Palmer, Krakouer, Monfries, Amon

Lobbe has been dreadful this year, think he is really struggling having an impact around the ground and with Ryder it's making that a lot more damaging for his game.
O'Shea has been dreadful.
Schulz hasn't been himself all year and needs to get his body ready for the next year, if that's with us or with who ever.
Neade was disastrous yesterday.
Trengove is either injured, or his head is elsewhere.
Muffins has a future here, but his disposal yesterday was dreadful.

Ah Chee should never have been dropped.
Butcher replaces Trengove down back, and though it will really expose our back line Butch deserves his final chance in this team. Give him the rest of the year. Play him down back, and if the opportunity arises I would be happy for him to swing forward at times.
Palmer looks the goods, bring him in and let's blood a few games into him.
Krakouer has been one of our best all year, need him in the squad.
Monfries has been awful this year, but is better for a little run in the SANFL.
Amon is future. Future is now.

What will happen:

Out:
Lobbe, Colquhoun
In: Mitchell, Monfries
Sub: Young

Time to make a call for the rest of the season: Prep for next year. They can get qualified for SANFL GF.

Schultz, Lobbe, Trengrove, Oshea, Ebert out. Krak, Harvey, Butch, Amon, AhChee in.

I'd like to see our best players in the middle around the stoppages more. Ryder, Wingard especially.

If we are going to drop young players when the season is over and not give them a go we should delist them.

Moore - delist
Young - persist
Neade - persist
Clurey - persist
Gray - persist
Hoon - persist
Ah Chee - Lack contested ball, has to be brought in this week.
Palmer - Give him a go for rest of year
Harvey - Give him a go for rest of year

We need to drop the older ones not playing well to give the younger ones a chance at AFL level or like I said, delist them.

Out: Moore, Lobbe, Schultz, O'Shea, Hammer
In: Ah chee, Palmer, Harvey, Krak, DBJ

I wish you did the selections

Too much cruise control and no issues here at Alberton. We need to mix things up.

Ken did say during the week it was too late in the season for players to do anything that would change the clubs view on them. Butch on Patton isn't going to end well, it may not be Patton but if I'm a GWS midfielder I'm going to look for the closest tall to Butch.

I wouldn't put him in defence, GOOD GOD NO! I don't care where he has played SANFL.

In hindsight Monfries should have retired 2 years ago.

How does giving him a defensive role on Heath Shaw in a meaningless game do anything for our list development? Should we bring back Tom Logan as well?

Agreed. Or he can stay on our list - but they should halve his salary for being too soft

Yeah you're right lets just bring in palmer he'll contribute so much more than monfries; allow himself to get blanketed, shaw to have 10 rebound 50's and 30 odd disposals on the way to another loss yeah that's going to be so good for his confidence and our developing list. :drunk:

being selected for AFL can hardly be detrimental to your confidence. Shaw is an excellent player and that can be expected.

If some players can't deal with losses, **** them. right now we have to see who can cope with AFL football and who can't be it physical or mental. pour it on them. make them burn and see who comes out the ashes.

retire off a 40 goal season as small forward mid?
In hindsight, sure. You could get anyone to do a defensive job on the opposition half back. Even Thomas and Logan played decent games in that role.

Sounds good to me.
